As today the 13th day of June marks the international Albinism Awareness Day here as some facts about albinos you should know

1. We are humans. We feel whatever you feel.

2. We don't see at night as people assume. Infact when light enters out eyes at night (head lamps for automobile) we tend to see little or nothing.

3. Salt have no effect on our skin

4. We are short sighted. We can't see objects that are distant from us. That does not mean we are blind. When we bring it close to our eyes we tend to perform our task as a nap person will do
So when we put things close to our eyes just allow us be.

5. Some who have black spot does not mean their skin is decayed. These are caused by the UV rays that comes from the sun.

6. We don't like the sun. The sun produces UV rays that affect our skin and make us prone to skin cancer.

7. Our body parts are not for ritual purposes. Sometimes people chant in Yoruba ogun owo. We don't produce riches.

8. Our body parts don't cure HIV.

9. Because of stigma we receive daily, we tend to have anger issues. (Does not apply to all though)
