True thinking, but you'll realize the incompatible views and reasoning of the diverse constituents of Nigeria is a huge burden on her corporate image.

The divergent orientations of the ethnic nationalities within the country remains the major drawback to progress and patriotism. For instance, the North has deep sentiments that are pro-Islam, pro-Arabian. They continue to promote these sentiments at the expense of differing views. They want to force their sentiments to be accepted by other ethnic nationalities, who on the other hand find such ideologies alien.
The South East for another example, view Nigeria as an entrapment! They generally hold that the political system and national philosophy of the country is retrogressive, and as such detrimental to the innate progressive mature of the people of their zone.

The point is where such rancorous sentiments get heated to a point of agitation, what you described as "unpatriotic" becomes the order of the day!
