Inaccurate. Nigeria's GDP per capita is above Ghana's.

OP, you should post your SOURCE LINK, not just a photograph.

That is what it ought and should ve been but some few less educated, backward, blood thirsty individuals hijacked everything and think that by d use of force they can silence every oda peson. Nigeria is blessed by rich human & natural resources that if well harnassed & we ve one heart, mind & aboveall, love among us would ve make us d real giant of africa & not dis self acclaimed & empty boast of being d giant of africa when unemployment, hunger, insecurity, tribalism, nepotism are ravaging d nation. God help us.

In as much as this is average really, but north is really dragging the south back ....imagine a southern Nigeria republic south west region , South region ,south east region n middle belt region

For region controlling their security n resources .... without doing anything all our indices would improve really

Per capita income and GDP just means NONSENSE if poverty keeps increasing across the continent. I don't believe in paper figures; I believe in what I see around the street. Nigeria is getting worse with each passing day.

And 4 of the top 10 richest countries are Landlocked. Same thing applies in Europe, Switzerland and Luxembourg are the Richest countries and both countries are heavily Landlocked.
Why the argument about being Landlocked then? Is it not better to be Landlocked and increase your GDP and per capital income

How is the north really dragging us back? 80% of the food we consume in Nigeria is being bought in from the north. We are facing food insecurities and famines because of growing insecurities and threat in the region. So how on Earth are they dragging you back?

Are they giving the food for free? The south has been buying food from the north, making it possible that the north has some income, if not, the North will start very to death.

So by the time Bayelsa becomes a country, the new leaders would be from Pluto right?

Only lazy and unproductive region would blame others for their woes

Each state managing their resources is not a bad thing but are the state governors trust Worthy?

Even with FG oversight, only few states in Nigeria have little development
