Don't mind the guy...I wonder the version of Link he's using, whether it's the same Luno that all transactions are currently on pause mode due to government ban or perhaps he's currently not in Nigeria

Crypto is game of fluctuation. Buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high and smile to back. This is the time to buy crypto now and not the time to sell. Do not use your saving to buy crypto cos you going to lose your mind when the price hit rock bottom. Even Mark Cuban was burnt by Iron titanium that lose all it value less than 24 hours...

Do yourself a favour and watch a short Netflix series called "MONEY EXPLAINED" it's covers everything you need to know about investment and scam by institutions.

Trust me after watching it. Any investment, if you are not in control of it. You would never ever invest for your life.

hmmm cool

Crypto also has a stable coin called USDT and BUSD which works in same manner as the dollar rate which certainly made your point baseless...

Might as well buy the dollar and put it in a eurobond paying 5.5%

Titan pulled a fast one...Most of this tokens are rugpull/,honeypot scam tho...
It's always advisable not to go for any token/coins where more than 50% of the total coin is concentrated on few wallets, once they dump, that's the end of the coin, reason I'm still skeptical about doge coin, because once Elon musk dumps it, that's the end of the doge..

All these scammers need to do is pay a few Tiktokers to talk good about a crypto and the price flies high. They now sell before the price collapses

Infact calling it a currency should be made Illegal. One of the properties of a currency is stability. Which allows it to be an efficient legal tender. Cryptos can gain or loss 100% of value in one hour. Don't know why anyone will want to invest in such.
naira doesnt even qualify anymore to be a currency.

Let's assume a group of Nigerian's bought crypto at an average price of 45k , btc crashes to 30k , whose pocket doe's the profit go and can the tax collected balance the outflow of capital as a result of the losses.

What effect does this scenario have on our currency?

BTC has proven over time to be a better store of value than fiat.

If you involve yourself with any commodity or instrument that is subject to price movement then market corrections is inevitable. It's basic economics.

And talking about the impact of crypto on our local currency my response is short... Crypto has come to rescue us from poverty Which has been designed by politicians without morals.

You can invest in stable coins and do lending or staking on Defi platforms and get good returns better than what your banks can ever offer you.

The crypto space accommodate everyone depending on your risk appetite.

I think you should be more bothered about the fact that your government has been short-changing you by printing unlimited amount of the Naira with no corresponding value added. Everytime they print Naira like that the value of the Naira in your pocket is depreciates and that's the real issue.

We all know that only 21 million unit of BTC will ever exist. That's the beauty of Blockchain smart contract.

Can you tell me how many units of the Naira is in circulation?

I will make this short and understandable

A lot scam is going on crypto currency space
It is called pump and dump

Early investors pump and once they made enough they will dump the coin and run with their profit we are not calling about thousands they chop millions to billions

This scam is world wide since crypto is digital

How to avoid before u buy any coin
Read its white paper find out the real world usage

Find other similar project is it fail to solve the issue of similar existing coin avoid probably a scam

Avoid all shit coins
Safe mooon, safe mars ,elogan feg etc
Don't buy even for free

If u want to buy go for coin which is default in a blockchain example instead to buy wink , go for tron

Make I stop here I will update this thread later

Maybe you are one of those who buy things because you see others buying it...Maybe

May I let you know that Cryptocurrency isn't a scam. It is a business and not a game.

It is so funny when you see people buying stocks, shares, token/coins,gold etc because they see the price going up. These are the things you need to know before joining the band wagon;

1. What's the usability of the coin/token
2. Who controls it
3. How much of it are in the hands and control of the developer
4. What's the market capitalisation
5. What's the total supply and how much are in supply now.
6. Is there plan in the future to burn unused coin.
7. Etc

Don't expect a coin with a total supply of 100 billion to out beat a project with 100 million units in supply. Tron Vs Maker

Trading and Investment is not for faint hearted and greedy people. It is a business where you buy and hold (HODL), except if you are a guru, you could be trading the fluctuations (Volatilities).

There is no scam in Cryptocurrency business, except those investing in Cryptocurrency ponzi , pump & dump and shit coin with false promises.

Note, if you wish to make money in Cryptocurrency , look for a good project and hold for at least 3 years. Now that the market is creating another opportunities to go in. We buy in the bear market and sell in the bull market. Buy low & Sell high.

You don't lose money in Cryptocurrency until you sell. HODL

Try to learn the fundamentals in trading... target the support level on the daily time frame, once price hit that zone and you see rejections....know that another bull rally is about to start.

Great.

Nairas devaluation is tied to oil and exports..

Depreciation is tied to over circulation and productivity, this can be curtailed quite easily with high interest rates in the interim and increased output.

You didn't answer how my thesis would affect the currency in the cited scenerio.

This great analysis of yours is too big for any lazy people to even comprehend. I wish they understand market correction like you pointed out.

People fail to learn the basics but find it easy to run shouting scam.

Great and wonderful future are staring at us today, but we are too blind to see the future today.
