Very Important Question On Coils And Part Numbers No One Is Asking by amstamon: 9:20pm On Jun 22, 2021 |
My camry 09 recently has a failed coil(bank 4). A friend that uses same car with me has extra coils that are working. Unfortunately it was boldly stated they weren't compatible with my car after checking the part number of the coils on amazon and other sites (90919-02248), even though they fits in and car not misfiring. My question is ; What are the implications of using coils with part numbers which is not compatible with a car even if its fits in and working without misfire? People need to know the implications because we all are guilty of these act either ignorantly or unknowingly.. Na which one be first post and second link u dey talk when you clearly said part number is compatible when obviously it's not. Maybe I need to make a recap: The coil part number according to most online market stores,is suited for a 4runner and not camry even though it fits in and doesn't misfire. What are the implications? |

Mr OP The meaning of the statement is that the part is compatible as show in the link, which is official Toyota website for Europe. Now your own part store ( which is third party ) only state not compatible because store does not include it in the data base of the store. Technically, stay with the official manufacturer info from the website. 1 Like |

brother, white man has to sell product so he wants youu to stick with his own specs. but when it comes to ignition coil ? basically what we need out of it ultimately is the FIRE ? THE SPARK ? and so it matters not the spec of it, so long as it fits and works correctly and is delivering sparks and not misfiring you have nothing to worry about. 1 Like |
