This op is a big empty-headed fish. I guess this foolish theory of yours is the same your buhari had when he banned importation of rice under the guise of promoting local product and today shortly afterwards we started buying a bag of poorly produced rice for 38k as against the 8k well produced imported ones. Op thinks he is making sense. But in fairness to him he is completely daft. Even more senseless that away current president. 1 Like |

From what the OP is saying it is even useless the government inviting foreign investors to Nigeria since we have local companies already on ground. Let me hear when they say foreign investors are needed in the oil and gas sector since we already have NNPC and indigenous refineries 1 Like |

Abokey economic theory. USA has Ford, GMC etc, yet there are Japanese & German car manufacturing plants there producing Toyota, Honda. Volks etc. Senseless abokey feeling funky. If Toyota has agreed to stay, the monkey would have counted it as one of bomhari's achievements.. 2 Likes |

Rissamenti: The two scenarios you cited are different. Toyota didn't go to Ghana because of government policy. The government have been looking for foreign investors to bring in their dollar to strengthen the economy and the Naira. The reason toyota went to Ghana is because of Nigeria unfavorable business climate. A government that is exporting crude oil and importing finished products and wasting foreign exchange can not be said to be building capacity. 1 Like |

Rissamenti: Toyota plants not being in Nigeria is actually a big miss! The reason for establishing regional car assemblies is to take the product closer to the buyers. This means, orders from African countries for Toyota cars and parts will be processed in Ghana and shipped to those countries, including Nigeria. Every car company or plant in Nigeria has its customers. Not everyone in Nigeria will afford a brand new Toyota car so its not like they are crushing the market for Innoson or the local competition. Toyota will employ Ghanians and pay sales and corporate taxes to Ghana as well |

I'm surprised to see people willing to even educate this piece of shit. Definitely not me. I wish there was a block list on nairaland, at least I won't be seeing uneducated, silly and ridiculous posts like this that can pose a threat to your IQ level *spits |
