Why churches of now a days forcing somebody to speak in tongues?

One of my best friend keep telling me sitting at home on Sundays is not always the best, I should try and fixed my self up with a good church in my area, ion want to be adamant I made up mind to worship nearby, today is my 3rd Sunday now this is happening.....

Mr ceede we discovered you are not be speaking in tongue, I wave the question as if I didn't hear it, the pastor call one of the cell Leader he hand me over to him, the dude welcomed me n say Mr pls wait after the service I didn't argue but my spirit tells me this people are up to something.

That's how about 4men 2woman come to me after the service they talk for several minutes, they later said I should bow down for prayer they surrounded me one of 'em say I will speak in tongue today.

My mind:- say na by force, na me Waka come look for trouble.

They joint their hands together I was in their middle, after praying, speak in tongue for like 20min, as if they were cast out demon, me way dem dey pray for don tire I want go my house. They still watch me, nothing come out of my mouth, one of the prayer warrior touch me he said I should speak whatever comes out of my mouth. After the prayer I didn't say anything, may be they tired too. The cell Leader say they will continue next week
My mind:- if una see me here in this church ever again make una less my foot wagen.

Truth is, I don't even have issues with people praying out loud, cuz we all humans, people with serious problems can get all emotional and pray out loud or whatever, I still think its fine.

What bothers me is when they make it a "Norm" for people to pray out loud. Like if you not praying out loud God won't hear you?

Going to church while I was coming up, I'd be praying seriously within me and my mum would be bumping me to pray out loud. Like yyyyyy

But sin isn't about what we think but what God's Law and His expectation that we obey Him no matter what the situation may be.

Praying aloud is deemed unacceptable by God in every case, so also is praying where others or anyone can see that you are praying. Jesus Christ said pray to your Father who is in secret and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. When we do all these things out in the open, it is no longer to God but to anything out there.

Your mom was wrong and so are hundreds of millions of so-called Christians out there who wear their belief on their sleeves. All that is really religious nonsense and sin against God.

If the baptism of the Holy ghost is genuine, it makes you a strong Christian because you are speaking the language the devil will never understand.

I have seen your list of 50, and nothing on it jumps out as true.

You really cracked me up with this post. I know is christ embassy. They are very fond of that. Most of think they speak in tongues, meanwhile it's all gibberish.

Having the spirit of God is not same as Holy ghost baptism eventhough its important and compulsory for every born-again child of God to be baptized in the Holy Ghost.

Having the spirit of God happens at salvation. Once you accept Christ, the spirit of God comes into you for sanctification purposes. Then you are required to thirst for the baptism of the Holy Ghost which becomes evident in the speaking of unknown tongues.

1. The Spirit of God is the one you call the Holy Ghost, the very same one since He can only inhabit "Holy" or Perfect vessels .I.e. those who no longer struggle with sin.

2. No Spirit enters anyone at Salvation, instead it is when one becomes born-again in order to enter into the Kingdom of God .I.e. one becomes born of Spirit, that a new Spirit enters into one and that spirit is NOT the spirit of God or the Holy Spirit. Instead, in Ezekiel 36 vs 24-27, it is instead a new spirit - John 3 vs 5 -8. And given that even those who enter the Kingdom of God through the broad gate that leads to hell also have new Spirit given them, it is for certain that the Spirit one receives when one becomes born-again is NOT the Spirit of God or Holy Spirit.

On pentecost, the Spirit that was said to have descended on the apostles is the Spirit of God meaning those in the room that day were not just born-again but were Holy/perfect in the sight of God. That is why the Spirit of God Himself, the very Holy Spirit Himself, came upon them, just as He did Jesus Christ at the Jordan.

Recall that God is Holy and so He cannot inhabit that which is filthy with sin. Anyone still struggling with sin is filthy in the sight of God and God cannot live inside such persons. That is what in John 8 vs 31 - 44, Jesus said that in order to become a Son of God, a Holy/perfect vessel, one must first rid oneself of sin and He told us how to do just that.

Then in John 14 vs 20 - 25, He tells us that it is inside of those who are no longer bound to sin that He and His Father( the Spirit of God/Holy Ghost) will come and make their home in. So, you see, Spirit of God/Holy Spirit only comes upon those who are Holy/Perfect.

And if you say that speaking is tongues is a sign that the Spirit of God/Holy Spirit lives inside of a one, this against what Jesus Christ said in Mark 16 vs 17-18, what you are invariably claiming is that speaking in tongues is a Mark of Holiness/Perfection and again, this does not line up at all with what Jesus said of it.
