There was a fire outbreak at the synagogue Church of All Nations at the Ikotun area of Lagos State late on Monday.

The PUNCH gathered that the fire gutted a building in the Church’s premises.

The fire incident happened on the night of the candle procession in honour of the late founder of the Church, Prophet Temitope Joshua popularly called T.B Joshua.

Members of the church, who had attended the night of tributes and candlelight procession in his honour, were seen scampering to safety during the fire incident.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the fire incident are sketchy.

However, it was learnt that firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire incident around 12:19 am on Tuesday.

The pastor, televangelist, philanthropist, leader and founder of The synagogue died on June 5 at the age of 57.

His widow, Evelyn Joshua, led the candlelight procession at the SCOAN Faith Resort in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

Let's not spiritualise everything that happens in our society.

Normal negligence.

If not that religion is a sensitive matter generally all over the world and Nigeria in particular , I would’ve suggested that government looks into candles being used at religious centers where there’s a chance someone might be holding a perfume oil or some other inflammable “spiritual items”

I mean look at the celestial guy that died from burns he suffered when the candle lighted around him caught fire when he was sprayed with spiritual perfumes. That could’ve been avoidable . But then let’s not rule out arson in this case of TB Joshua tho , someone might be out there trying to put them out of business outrightly .

Hopefully the authorities will investigate this incident tho

When the wife of TB Joshua described the position in which he found her husband, dead in his inner Chambers, you begin to wonder if TB Joshua was into astral travel or was possibly a spiritual attack.

There are levels to spirituality.

This is serious but God is in control.

Shey it was a candle night event?
Maybe the candle was too small for someone who then decided to light up a whole building all in honor of the Prophet.
