I am not a professional with computers but I sure do know my way around things.. Despite being exposed to computers and internet as far back as 1998 I have never looked pass windows XP.. I recently acquired a Windows 10 PC and though the performance has been smooth my data runs out at an alarming rate.. I use an ultra fast USB stick 4G for internet connection. I have checked different tech forums for solution but nothing sofar..

I started by blocking windows update through gpedit.msc. I also disabled app updates.. However each time I start my computer it will eat up atleast 300mb of data even when I am not involved in any browsing activity.. What can I do to curb this. Please help data is scarce these days..

Windows 10 feeds on data. If you really wants to make some savings, you must downgrade to lower version.

Even if you disable all the apps, it is only for few days and it will turn automatically.

That's the little I know about it.

go to settings, click on update & security, click on Advance options, check for Pause Updates and click the dropdown box then click on the number of days u want to delay the updates. Note, u can delay for a full month, once that duration of the days expires go back and do same. Don't forget. Naso i dey take manage 250mb for my lappy be that oooo, wen bar no dey to sub Oooo. Goodluck guys.
