I first programmed in GWBASIC, it was fun and I did quite lot of things with it.

Have heard some people say that your first programming language will have lots of influence on how you program even in some other language.

I later gave c++, COBOL and c# lots of attention then I will say C# is just the best of them.

These days, I do more of php, JavaScript and python, and I can't deny I still love the feel of Basic language be it gwbasic, qbasic, VB or VB.Net.

I presently do my professional work with php and javascript, but have been having fun with Python and Clanguage.

Let us know your first programming language and the programming language you are using now professionally and for fun
