FCE & FUNAAB Commands of Man O' War Nigeria carries out Community Service, Calls for more of Youth participation in Volunteering

On Thursday 15th July 2021, officers of the Federal University of Agriculture & Federal College of Education, Osiele carried out a selfless community service along the Abeokuta-Ibadan expressway by spreading granite on some bad portions of the road.

The granite which was supplied by a Quarry company which plies the road was used to fill up some failed portions of the road in front of the Vehicle Inspection Office in Kotopo, Abeokuta.

In his words, the Coordinator in Chief of the FUNAAB Command of the Man O' War, Patriot Orebajo Abimbola said, we cant wait for the government to fix everything for us, we understand that this road is a major road which serves 3 major federal government parastatals and others, so our little contribution is geared towards easing free flow of traffic on this road.

Also speaking, the Coordinator in Chief of the Federal College of Education, Osiele Command Patriot Adisa Taiwo Olawale also called for more active participation of Youths in community oriented volunteering activities to develop our respective communities.

Also present on ground were past Coordinators & members of Man O' War of both institutions to render technical support among whom include, Mr. Faniyi Abiola, Mr Adekunle Kehinde, Mr. Atanda Oluwaranti and a host of others. Mr. Akindina Michael who is a staff of the Federal College of Education, Osiele and also a one time Coordinator of the club used the opportunity to call the attention of necessary authorities to help in saving the road before it breaks down completely.

Sometimes the only things these roads need may just be palliatives before they completely go bad.

This particular road is perhaps the busiest road in Abeokuta and one would wonder why FG and state govt will allow it go this bad.
