•The Story Of The Rich LAGOS Niteclub Owner

For many fun lovers who also love to enjoy their night life to the full, Cubana Nite clubs will not be news to them. Cubana Night club is one of the most popular clubs in Lagos where super rich big boys and babes go to. It is where you can relax and have your “me time” to yourself and also enjoy some cool music. As cubana Nite club is taking the lead in Lagos so also is it taking the lead in Owerri, Abuja and Port Harcourt, Enugu. The brand has grown so big that many wonder who is behind the multi-billion naira empire. It is no other than the king of nite life himself, Chief Obi Iyiegbu, who serves as the group chairman of his company, Cubana Group. If you are a regular nite club lover, you must have definitely come in contact with this young money bag.

He currently rocks major parties in Lagos, Abuja and Owerri. He has been seen in recent times at parties spending lavishly and he cares not who ox is gored as he believes he has worked hard so he can play hard as well. Saying Obi Cubana whose close friends refer to as King Pablo is a super-rich big boy is simply stating the obvious because he sits atop a thriving business empire with several major cash cows. His humility is second to none and seeing him at parties, you will never see the ego of affluence around him, he dresses in a very simple way and never flaunts his riches. But one thing you cannot take away from him is, if he enters any party, you can be sure it will be a swell time because he is a big spender. He spends unapologetically and this was put to bear at an event in Lekki Lagos, 2 weeks ago where he stole the show with 4 of his big boys who are general managers in his empire by spraying the celebrant endlessly.

They were tagged the ‘’bosses” and their table was filled with expensive liquor all through the event. He has been celebrated by major magazines and he remains one of Nigeria’s biggest investors in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. The Anambra born businessman is the owner of biggest club and Lounge brand in Nigeria; Cubana with branches in major cities starting from Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Owerri and Lagos, and he is still expanding. He also owns Liquor empire limited Abuja, Crave in Abuja, Ibiza Hotel, Abuja, Caledonian Suites and Grand Suites, Abuja.

That Obinna Iyiegbu is one of the most visible men in the Nigerian entertainment and hospitality industry right now is not in doubt, the opening of his masterpiece Nite club, Pablo, Cubana at Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island Lagos makes it the fourth under the same brand name, CUBANA. It is one of the most popular luxury nightlife destinations in the centre of excellence

Designed by Lagos-based interior design and construction firm, Andrezini, Cubana Lagos sits in the heart of Victoria Island and is crafted to cater to a high profile demography which is evident in its luxury aesthetic, and the total construction cost, which is believed to be somewhere in the neighbourhood of N 1billion. The main attraction of the development is the 1000 person capacity. From high-end lighting and sound installations to bespoke seating and decor, Club Pablo boasts of all the bells and whistles one would find in a luxury night club. The development also features a rooftop restaurant and lounge known as “The Grind” which is enveloped in steel and glass to offer an indoor-outdoor dining experience, as well as a contemporary take on the traditional open-air, bush bar branded as Cubana Hut ‘n’ Grill.

Obi Cubana started out years back with the name Ibiza when he opened his first joint off Gimbiya Street in Area 11. The place was to later become the place to be not only because it offered a new vista in terms of having the best DJ in Abuja then, but he also offered the sit out bar, which was to later become the fad. Ibiza was to later add TV screens for ardent watchers of football, which was also novel then. After that, he has gone on to open the Cubana Lounge and Events Centre located along Sani Abacha road in GRA3 Port Harcourt which is also replicated in Owerri, Imo state capital.

The young and progressive CEO believes that the hospitality and entertainment industry in the country offers a lot of opportunities within the economy and he has also shown that he can, despite the downturn in the economy, offer a lot of succour to jobless people. At least not less than one thousand people are employed in all these establishments spread all over the country. No wonder, Mr IfeanyiCy Njoku, a blogger and Social Media Influencer often refers to Okpole as the Boss of all Bosses. He is the boss of Cubana Chief Priest (Paschal Okechukwu), his closest brand Ambassador and Showbiz Promoter.

Though still in his tender age, the shy Iyiegbu has been able to make his mark. As he has made a success of his career so has he made a success of his marriage. Happily married to his wife of over 10 years, Ebele Iyiegbu and blessed with four boys, he has preached that he prides his family over anything and celebrates them often on his social media pages. His wife is an amazing entrepreneur, an event manager, a lawyer and the founder of kiek foundation which recently undertook a feeding project for over 1000 children living in the federal capital territory, Abuja in celebration of her birthday and that of her son. Obi Cubana tells who cares to know that his wife is the love of his life, stressing that she has been so helpful in shaping his life positively. He described the birthday of his son and wife as a double celebration and double blessings to his family.

That he is the next big thing to happen in Lagos mainland again is watering many people’s appetite because as we scooped, he is set to open another huge edifice in Ikeja which will be Cubana Nite Club on the mainland and the project so far has gone 50% down to be completed soon. These are happier times for the young billionaire as he keeps pushing his frontiers in many cities across the country.

You should calm down about Lagos, huncle. The most talked about club for big boys in Lagos (specifically on the island) is Quilox. Obi Cubana is really trying with his fast spread though.

As a pure Yoruba guy, my target is to have an Igbo lady as wife so that my children can also tap into these genes of successful Igbo people like Obi Cubana, Cubana prime minister, Nestoil, innoson, Jowizaza and a host of young Igbo billionaires.
Even my dad a prominent title chief in Igbęsá, Ogun state also advised me to look for an Igbo lady when I want to settle down.
Igbos and success are like Agege bread and Ęwa Agònyin.

Out Of 53 Oba Boys I Assisted In 2013, 38 Are Now Billionaires & Others Are Millionaire" - Cubana
speakerphoneJul 20, 2021 10:53 AM
There was fanfare and a display of wealth and riches during Obi Cubana's mother's burial in Oba, Anambra State last Saturday. The amount of money spent during the burial was so great that some people began to question the source of wealth of those at the funeral.

Obi Cubana revealed that in the year 2013, he pushed 53 uneducated Oba boys into the market to learn to trade, and in 2017, he withdrew them from their boss and settled each with the sum of 3 million Naira and also paid for their shop.

He made it known that 38 out of the 53 boys are currently billionaires, while the remaining ones are millionaires.
