pls who has idea how much FRSC pay SSCE holder?

i have a connection but i dnt want to ask her about the salary.

i work with a private company here in lagos with my SSEC, i plan to enroll a part time program in yabatech this year but the FRSC is a government work with a job security and this woman will soon retire from service.

she told me i will suffer to gain promotion if i join FRSC with SSCE.

pls someone should advice me.

After two years, get a part time admission in the university and apply for permission to study with your admissions letter, you will be given approval, start school, finish your school, get certificate of exemption from NYSC and forward to abuja for upgrading and approval and you will be upgraded to one star and that's how you will keep be promoted as at when due

FRSC is a paramilitary, entry with SSCE is level 3, the salary is between #45,000 and #50,000. You are rank and file, & promotion is so slow don't expect much abeg.

It was written on their portal that any document not presented during the recruitment exercise will be rendered invalid which really makes upgrading/promotion very difficult as the woman said to you.

During my service year I got shortlisted for the navy recruit intake (non commissioned cadre) thou I applied with my OND certificate so I went to meet my local government inspector to take permission to attend the screening exercise. He gave advice to me to forfeit the plan as I will really suffer when the time comes to upgrade that he knows and have so many people who joined as non commissioned officer Nd are yet to upgrade Nd point to me to start applying for commissioned role. I have seen people warned against joining a firm or sector for their non commissioned cadre if u hold a higher qualification as upgrading is very tough but u can do that in private firm and pull out anytime u like. Just this February I put in for non commissioned cadre of the Nigeria army Nd I got shortlisted as I’m really looking for anything to be doing at the moment but i over looked it plus even have a connect who happens to be a brig gen in the Nigeria army Nd find non commissioned cadre slot as easy as anything else which prompt me to be looking for better opportunities.

Honestly I will advice u to go for the job provided u have no higher qualification at the moment and from the proceeds u be collecting as salary u will be earning more than ur ssce holder who are working in private places and earning peanuts Nd even some graduates as some commenters has said here. At the end of the day, no body knows tomorrow, some administration can come in and ask for upgrading/promotion of every workers but I hope u will have gotten a higher qualification at hand.
