We have to be careful with who we choose to install these things. Someone asked me to reset their Netflix password I’m yet too because it’s something you should be able to do. It’s not that I don’t want to help but the rate of scamming, framing and blaming can only be curtailed by being wise. The app is what they call compressed if it’s smaller but it’s not a Netflix app and that was your first flag why would someone give you another app when you could just get it from the play store.

Even smart tv apps you have to be careful of some YouTube or Netflix is not from the Official App Store it will have some funny name someone had to buy a new television because of this. Some people fein IT Guy helpful and supportive to rob you and get information from you. I was raised by an Army Major General there’s a limit to what I can do when it comes to offending others and committing crimes. Android is an amazing software but the developers need to do more to screen the kind of apps that are out there and they do but they can’t prevent you from making a mistake and choosing to install from outside the market.

3600 would have saved you wahala in this case

The only time I had virus in life was when I was downloading a free game in those days that’s life for you. Even within apps when they have push messages it’s important to have secondary security apps as backup as that could be granting permissions you don’t even know about.

I want a smart tv and plan to get one but the only thing delaying me is the fact that it’s only on Android if Samsung, LG and apple make an actual Apple TV I’d be more safe with the security and knowing I’m protected while using. Android TV boxes are better for experimental installing of apps I don’t even recommend you install them sha and don’t sign in if your not sure of the source.

Even bank apps sef shine your eye do not enter pin and card

So last week my colleague gave me a hacked Netflix sv4 app which I installed on my phone and it was working perfectly, the app is just 12mb while the original Netflix app is 60mb.
I checked my phone yesterday only to discover that 1125 USDT (approx 550k) had been transferred from my trustwallet app around 11:53am.
I was with my phone all through yesterday, so don't think anybody got access to it, so the only option left was to query all my installed apps.

I decided to Uninstall and reinstall the hacked Netflix app to check the permissions I granted it.

So guys do u think this permission is enough for any hacker to gain access to my trustwallet app?

I've asked my colleague that gave me the app and he says the person he got it from is a hacker and also a crypto trader

I get this hacked version too but i dey contemplate on uninstalling it.

Sorry to divert from the topic, but I need to talk about an issue that's really making me angry right now.
Instantcoins.ng is gradually becoming a scam site,i made a trade since Saturday (23 Rd of April 2022) of 150$ and this scam site has refused to pay me,how long will I continue to wait for them to pay.
This is l week today and the scam site has even refused to acknowledge my emails.
I advice everyone to stop doing business with this scam website or you will end up losing a lot of money.
Mr Cashmir Mbah, pay me my money and pls no one should trade in that scam website again

What I don't understand is how you use a Samsung s21 ultra, have that kinda amount in your trustwallet and you still installed a "hacked" Netflix.

How much does the original Netflix cost??

Na wa o

Why are you surprised? And they still have the shameless effrontery to criticize politicians for being corrupt. Shameless people! In fact many Nigerians will bypass paying just any bill if they had their way.

A nation mired in deep moral insolvency. sad

Na greed na. He simply reaped what he sowed. He defrauds Netflix, and someone else does exactly the same thing to him in far greater proportions.

You may have stored your seed phrase as a screenshot in your phone. The permissions you approved allows the client on the other side to basically go through your phone unabated
hmmmm.. hmmm.
How possible is this ??

It can not be the netflix app. Especially you barely used it.. This is from a site.

I only wanted to confirm if it actually works. Ever since I tested it, I've not even watched any movie with it, and I forgot to Uninstall it.

Pennywise, pound-foolish.
Alaroro.

Signs of a bonafide scammer. They always try to scam their way out of any responsibility no matter how insignificant. Some have millions but will still use fake transfer for a 2k item they bought.

Must you use Netflix?

If you can't afford the original version then do without it, Netflix is not an absolute necessity!

It's possible you have your wallet recovery phrase stored somewhere in your phone and the permission you granted the app gave access to it.

No free meal, even in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

By the way, which network did they use to send $1,125 and was charged only 5 cents?
I'm impressed!

Hacked? Does this mean you wanted to be using the app without paying the company? If that's it, I'd say you got served, bro. This reminds me of the song "you want to bamba. You wanna chill with the big boys".

On a more serious note, you can afford Netflix from all indications, why try to cheat them? I still don't understand why Nigerians see these kind of things as being "smart". You guys like to say "in a sane society... " and I wonder what you think makes the society sane if not the people.

The app you got was never free. Someone probably paid for a few months just for you to have the app long enough on your device to do it's task of stealing your money. Now, you've ended up paying more than the subscription fee. That's sad.

the permission to access storage can allow any app and it's creators to have access to your device files. Some people can be lazy to copy out their seed phrase for their wallets out on a paper so they just take a snapshot or pic of the area and feel it's safe. The gallery is the first place hackers look for seed phrases and these can be used to access your private wallets on metamask and trust wallet

It requires only your storage for download, yours have been modified with a malware. Hard luck. You can trace that wallet transaction to a CEX and report it. A dispute will be set up, and you'll recover your funds.
