The problem of those churches (Redeem and winners chapel) am sorry to mention names, is expansion and wanting to become the largest worship center in Africa. There's absolutely no need of building churches everywhere, even in the time of Jesus, synagogues are few but today, especially in Nigeria, pastors have turned church buildings to competition. If it's only 10 churches you can build and manage well, then so be it! Building 10thousands churches with the ones already built looks like rubbish to me. Where do you expect to get people to fill those buildings? From another churches? More reason to respect late prophet TB Joshua. That's why I don't give their pastors or members audience anytime they come preaching to me. I cant just imagine someone trying to talk me to come to their church even after I explained that I am a Christian from birth and have my own church. I now see the reason why they're so adamant; they're afraid to be tagged "fruitless" by their employer. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Dem dey pay you at all and you get mouth dey talk nonsense. Do you know that most of the RCCG pastors are expected to use their resources to grow the church and not paid a dime? Do you know where and how the money comes from? You don't want to be sacked, then you are being serviced by members tithe and offering, still you can't add members to keep you in business? Or you are expecting to reap from others hardwork? If everyone become like you, how will you get paid? Seriously, most of these individuals masquerading around as pastors are a disgrace to humanity. They will not last a month being employed in secular businesses due unproductiveness. |

One thing is for sure, oyedepo is an astute businessman. Even though he primarily takes advantage of the inherently ignorant and gullible. 1 Like |

Universities (private) pay their own graduates who are non administrative staff 30K Primary and Secondary Schools in different part of Nigeria we even pay below that... For church...the Pastor gets several gifts from members and so on. If you are an employer of labour...am sure your sense will tell you not to pay beyond what your company make per month. temitope27: Pastor is a calling into the Ministry by God. The issue here, to start with, is to check the calling whether it's from God or as a result of hunger and lack of job. 2ndly, concerning the salaries, how much can you pay a Pastor as monthly salary? #100,000, #150,000 or #200,000? A genuine pastor is not an ordinary being, he's a spiritual being ordained by God not to lack anything good for God is more than able to supply all his needs. I'm contributing to the topic from my little experience as a member. Don't forget that I said genuine pastors are spiritual beings who God will never allowed to lack anything good. Right from my childhood in my village in Ijebu, I watched my parents taking foodstuffs every now and then to our Reverend house called vicarage. I grew up with it and I'm doing same to my pastors today. It's a mystery that only a true and dedicated child of God can comprehend. Pastors are blessed people. The Bible says faithful is he that calleth you for he will do it. A true pastor is blessed from the north, south, east, and west. He doesn't have to take from the church. Years back, Living Faith Church leadership had a conference with all pastors and at the conference, salaries of pastors were stopped. Some resigned while others continued without salaries. Amazingly, God who truly called them was busy blessing them. They never went to bed hungry rather they were changing cars, paying their bills without stress. The test of stoppage of their salaries took them to another level of glory in the school of kingdom service and the mystery of true riches. It was a perfect test of their callings for God who actually called them was still with them. I know this may not sound right to some on this platform but I tell you, it's mystery that not all will ever understand how it works. Then after some months the salaries were not only restored but also increased. Let me tell you, a true and dedicated pastor in the vineyard of God would never come on line to nairaland or Sahara reporter to complain knowing fully well that anything Oyedepo attracts all manners of critics which doesn't amount to anything anyway. Today in the secular world, we see where staff are paid half salaries even some laid off. We've seen this in organizations and government establishments. Finally, pastor is a calling by God and not by stomach or challenges of life. 3 Likes |

Ogaga87:That is the problem.. we give so called men of God a free pass so they get emboldened in their evil. As Christians, it's time we start discussing these issues and holding these men accountable. I am not saying winners Chapel is guilty, I don't have all the facts to judge but I am saying we should not keep quiet. We need to ask questions. |

BePrepared: If I die in this state, nothing would happen. There is no rapture, judgment day or whatever. You guy’s keep basing you claim on speculation, no proof whatsoever. Show me proof that Jesus is waiting for you on the other side, then I would take you seriously. Y’all cannot just think for yourselves for once because you pastor or bible said this and that. No capacity for objective thing. No wonder you believe some white guy with flowing hair, in flowing white robe would come down on a horse and take you to a place where you would sing hallelujah forever. Tell me what makes you different from those who think there are virgins waiting for them when they die. Rubbish |

Nonsense! Black people no just get sense for head. Carry believe another man history say na dia religion.

Ogaga87: The fake ones are easy to know. TB Joshua, Iginla, Fufeyin, Chris Okafor, Indaboski and many others depends on power gotten from Satan. Oyedepo (who replaced Idahosa) and his sons are intelligent motivational speakers using Bible as references. They read many motivational books and link them with Bible verses. In all, any gospel that spent most of its time teaching you on how to dominate the earth is fake. The true gospel teaches you about reconciling the world to God starting from you yourself being in Christ truly, knowing fully well that Jesus Christ is coming again. This world is a transit to eternity in Christ Jesus or hell fire. Anyone, who leaves emphasis on Christ and starts to dwell on miracles and how you will dominate the earth is only massaging your itchy ears. Bro. those who reads Bible well and are not "my pastor said" Christians knows that Martha wasn't Moses Sister. Please go back to exodus to correct this. I know the name, but want you to use this opportunity to open your Bible again. |

That is their basic salary. They get a huge percentage of the weekly tithes and offerings, gifts from members, church accommodation and other allowances. If you sum everything, their monthly pay is far higher than what most companies in Lekki/ VI (Lagos) are paying their graduates monthly. How much most of them pay now be 70k-100k? If you know, you know. |
