I like to think that introversion can be closely knit with the love of creativity and an introspective overview of the arts.

Still, while I choose not to identify as an introvert but just a full-blown homebody, I wrote this as a personal wish list, well-now a personal guide, for those couples who are really into the intimate, dreamy and soft side of romance and expressive affections.

So, if you’re not the type to do the most but in your heart, the thoughts are what counts, here are a few date nights and intimate bonding activities for you and your special person.

1. Play Video Games

From GTA, Mortal Kombat to Ratchet Clank etc. There is nothing as hilarious and soul satisfying as having to compete, especially when there is a price to pay (who wants to be a loser? I mean!)

And you can always order in or enjoy some home made meal and wine while you’re at it

2. Social Service

While this is quite unlikely, offering help to partner with a Non Profit Organization will give you a much better perspective into the personality of your lover.

Volunteering jobs can be quite messy especially if it has to do with the slums; from personal experience, it boosts the quality of conversation you’ll both have afterwards.

I must warn you, HECTIC THOUGH!

3. Connecting with Nature

For better context, catching the sun rise.

While this particular subject matter doesn’t quite give me a satisfying nostalgia as it reminds me of a terrible ex, I have to confess that there is nothing as beautiful as catching the sun rise.

I know life isn’t a movie but hey! make it one; a good one at that.

4. Karaoke

Hmmm… get drunk first.

Just to embolden you except you can afford a SingTrix set or Tonor Karaoke home set.

Now, that’s another definition of cool stuff.

5. Picnic Dates

I would say that this is city specific as not every town might have spaces that encourage this.

As a resident of the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria, if you are interested in this option, please reach out to me or visit the PrettyAbuja/AlternativeFunandEntertainment page on Instagram to get more details about relatively good ideas.

6. Bowling

I don’t need to say too much about this.

If you have experienced this, then you know the vibe.

7. Dance Classes

From pole dancing, salsa, Zumba etc, a perfect option to loosen up and just wile away time.

8. Skating

Relative to Nigeria, your best bet is to go roller skating. Don’t worry about losing balance, that will give you both something to laugh about later.

9. Book Bonding

There’s something romantic about rubbing hands on paperback and taking in the smell of freshly printed books.

10. Couples Massage

Relaxing and mostly the best price for two.

11. Cook together

Go extra, research and make an exquisite 3 course meal for you both.

12. A Vacation

The ultimate option for any and every couple, find a favorite spot and live it out.

In addition, introversion can breed room for miscommunication and while this is indeed a fact, couples should be open to the idea of therapy. It is always an option.
