Which type of romance do you like best? 1.) Tragic Romance (Titanic, Romeo and Juliet) 2.) Sweet, Tender, Happy-Ending Romance 3.) Rival Romance (they hate to love each other but love to hate each other) 4.) Forbidden Romance 5.) Comical Romance (romantic comedy, these usually fit under happy-ending romance) 6.) Hopeless Romance (see post #30) 7.) Fantasy/Supernatural Romance ----- I'm a sucker for all sorts of romance stories unfortunately. If I was to be entangled in any one of these romances, however, it would have to be either a romantic rivalry or a forbidden romance. I don't think I could cope in a rival romance. It seriously sucks loving someone and hating them at the same time. My black heart definitely isn't cut out for that. I love forbidden romances because of all the sneaking and lying lol. There's something about trying to not get caught. I'm a risk-taker and love anything that pumps my adrenaline. That could be why. My questions are: Which romance do you like best? If you could experience one of these romances, which would it be and why? Let's have fun! By the way, if you have anymore genres of romance to add, do feel free. I only listed the ones that came to mind. |

Tragic romance for sure. They stay with me for years even after watching them. I can never forget films like Fanaa, the notebook, Devdas, A walk to remember, kal ho na ho, u me aur hum, p.s. I love you, tere naam, titanic, a moment to remember, Dil Se, gangster a love story etc etc. In short I am a sucker for tragic movies. 1 Like |

The only Tragic luv story I'd like to see my self in would probably be U Me Aur Hum The husband luv was just so pure, unconditional, and passionate. But then again I love my memory  I think we should just leave tragic to the movies |

Naija Romance: Win the girl over with trendy gifts then stuff her with all the delicasies the glutton in her will not resist - Sharwama, Meat pie, Burger, Yogurt, chocolate fudge/cake, Ice-cream, Nkwobi, Isi-ewu, bokotor, gulder, sangria, coke e.t.c till she's fat and shapeless, then switch to the next romatic victim till u find the one that is disciplined & can say no. |

ogugua88: there was this guy that went to the same university i attended. he was crazy about this girl that didnt giv a sh_y-t abt him. she cudnt stand him, of course. he wud wake up early in the morning and wait in front of her hostel til she came out for lectures. then he wud follow her behind at a distance til she went into the lecture hall. he'd then sit some rows behind her throughout the day. mind u because of her he had 2 extra sessions b4 he eventually graduated. another wussie i knw cudnt let go of a chic he was toasting. went to the poor girl's wedding ceremony and wen the pastor asked if anyone had ''anything to say or forever hold his peace'' the guy stoood up in the church and started crying. he said that he cud not live without her.he was escorted out of the church and the wedding proceeded without any more hiccups. enuff 'hopeless romances '' but let me not derail the thread.  |

That's not derailing at all. I wanted people to share stories or experiences and you're the first to elaborate. Yay! *hands over balloons and a slice of cake* LOL! That second story was unbelievable! I was going to put hopeless romance under tragic but I think with your stories and my experiences, it's deserving of its own genre lol. That's beyond sad. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone going that far o. A lot of guys lack self-respect and dignity in this sense. Even after you tell them no in 65 different languages, they'll keep pursuing you like it's Manifest Destiny lol. Thanks for sharing I wish I could modify polls. |
