I have same code too, v6 accord 2006, I intend changing my fuel pump and filter to see if it solves it. But GAzzzuz on nairaland Says the code is as a result of an intake leak.

If the P0171 is combined with the P0174 code, it's very likely that the problem is caused by an intake leak. If there are no intake leaks, the next step is to replaced the air filter and clean the air flow meter. If the problem persist the front oxygen (O2) sensor may need to be replaced.

There is a factory service bulletin for the following Toyota models:
2005–2007 Toyota Avalon
2007–2008 Toyota Camry

had same code. Mine disappeared after cleaning my air filter and mass airflow meter.

A lot of variables are involved when fixing these codes.

Very wrong approach to address issue cos truthfully this bolded method above is not different from trial and error . Also in process of trying to touch "this and that " which u are not even 100% sure that is faulty, u can end up breaking stuff and creating more problems.
The aim of any troubleshooting is to guide against trial and error, minimize touching of parts ,and huge saving on time and resources.
There are lot of standard testing techniques and modern diagnoses approach for troubleshooting issues on modern vehicle, and the strategy is this : the result of each test will be the lead to the next step ,no unncessary messing around .this approach is similar to programming algorithm "if then statements"(for people familiar with computer stuff )
Eg with issues similar to above ,the technique of approach can start with checking of total fuel trim ,let assume the fuel trim is highly positive on high rpm then u are looking at fuel issue also for postive fuel trim on low rev is leaning towards intake leak .Let take this further by assuming the fuel trim is negative then the direction will surely change ( enough don't let me bore u with too much technical stuff)Etc etc etc .
With this kind of approach u will a definite direction with detail and no unncessary calling for wrong parts with huge saving on scarce resources .
Lastly I will say we should be emphasizing more on testing to identify faults rather then calling for outright change of parts based on mere codes cos it u can leave u worse more than before.,Just like what my other brother says ,there so many variable involved.

Bros all this long epistle for just 2 easy fix code? That response is from Toyota nations forum. He could as well clean the air filter and air flow meter as confirmed by the other guy. A code may be triggered by some few reasons though

Those kind of statements is from a typical foreign diyers trying to form their own opinion dealing with their own personal cars with their little experience and if must know Yankee too have their share of kazeem and ill trained mechanics just for u to know that it not everything u read on foreign forums that is accurate and true.
Then in my long epistle, seems it too long for u to follow, the approach to fixing that issue is just two word :Fuel trim
