Honesty, fairness and kindness are very hard virtue to find in the Nigeria police force. With the high number of churches and mosques, you will think the police will listen and obey such preaching or teachings from alfa, pastors, but no . They arrest the innocent, harass ordinary motorists to pay up or get their vehicle siezed. If you have a matter that u need help, involving the Nigeria police will cost you your money. I wonder why is it so hard to find a honest policeman who is fair and does not want bribes.

The police are held in a higher standard so yes they deserve the criticism because they are supposed to be fair and honest. They are law enforcer so yes they deserves the criticism. Any person who sign up to be in the position of authority or power should be held up in a high standard. Why must an innocent man suffer from a police negligence? Is the person was close friend or family member of your, I wonder what you will be sayinh

Well good to hear, the hiring process of the policeman and women need to be reformed. We cannot continue to hire dishonest men and women into the police force

That's why calamity later befall them in life.

They usually don't end well...

If you are a Nigerian police on niaraland, you won't end well, your children won't prosper except you are a good police officer...

Nigeria police are gutterbred devils but also the Nigeria population are fledging illiterates.

Why won't Chijioke's lawyer sue the police for wrongful arrest?

With all the proof there is, it's a straight forward case, no DPO or dirty inspector like being a party to a case in hight court.

Nigerians like crying like little wimps but won't sacrifice time to defend themselves.
The legal system operates like a snail and just as corrupt like the police!

Mynd44 is the least qualified person to talk about abuse of power. If Mynd was a police officer, he would arrest and detain his next door neighbor for waking up before him.

Keep quiet.

It's the MODs who are pro Igbo that are the worst.

Mynd44 is the best mod out there. We know exactly why you guys attack him constantly.

Mynd44. Please delete or hide his comment. When you suspend and ban him for a lengthy period like your Igbo colleagues do brazenly, some sense would be instilled here.

You are getting too lax.

That is why I believe there's more to the story, how can police arrest the person that took the phone and continue to detain him and ask to pay for the phone.

What more? The police simply wanted to exploit the man. When he wouldn't yield to their demand, they decided to punish him by sending him to prison for real.
What saved that guy was the bro bono lawyer that came to his rescue, they meant business by wanting to punish him.

This police brutality is just too much...
If they go somewhere to arrest, anyone they see they will arrest, even if it’s group of boys playing ball
