WODDI (an NGO) has stated that it has resolved plans at the management level to embark on the provision of Mental wellness Centres for Nigerians.

This it said, would help enhance the productivity of Nigerians at work place and further help on how day-to-day they would handle issues of concern as they unfold.

This which was made known by the WODDI Programs Manager, Jeremiah Oseni at the 2nd edition of her "Talk That Talk" Show on Mental Health held on Friday got the general public in a light mood more especially the youths who are majorly the potential beneficiaries.

The program which has featured top media professionals who did justice to the topic was aimed at ensuring the general mental wellness of the citizenry and how they have been able to tackle mental-related issues for members of staff in their respective organizations.

Mrs. Ogee Onazi of AIT (Daar Communications), Mr. Tai Amodu of TV cnewsng, Mrs. Omolalo Oladimeji of Silverbird TV, and Dr. Femi D Amele of Nigeriainfofm Abuja, Mr. Moses Nwokedili (BigMo) of Wazobiafm Abuja were discussants.

In their deliberations, they variously defined mental health from different perspectives resolving that to further handle the uncertainties coping skills must be identified and applied when the need arises.
Some of the coping skills they mentioned were; deliberately taking control of day-to-day activities, working away from negativity, identifying what makes you happy as an individual, be at alert, identifying needs from wants, proper communications amongst many others.

Jeremiah Oseni who was the moderator of the program urged participants to be positive-minded, identify trigger points, and never to misplace God as he advised that everyone should always consult a mental therapist.

The organization whose mission is to reach out and touch the lives of women and the girl child, orphans, and the internally displaced persons in Nigeria has its vision to educate, empower and provide capacity building for women, young people, and the aged across Nigeria through its programs which are aimed at enhancing their social, economic and spiritual well-being.

WODDI: The Nurturer,
Over the years, has provided shelter to the indigent widow who has no place to call home. One of it's a project known as the SNARP project has built over two hundred and five (205) well-furnished 2-bedroom apartments and handed to indigent widows at no cost. This has brought laughter to their faces, also more than one thousand seven hundred (1,700) young women through its women empowerment and skills acquisition program (WESAP) have been empowered with valuable skills to become financially free and self-reliant.

Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Founder and President of WODDI, Delmwa Gogwim who declared the program open on behalf of her boss, H.E Nkechi Rochas Okorocha (Ph.D.) disclosed that her boss' personality resonates with genuine love and compassion for humanity.
"She is driven by the mandate to provide succor and relief to indigent widows and orphans. This desire gave birth to her non-governmental organization, WODDI", she said.
