My Dear Friends,

I hope you’ve had a nice day.

Let me start by apologising for my silence in the past few weeks. I wanted to have something concrete to say before addressing you.

I have been busy consulting various stakeholders on the result of the April 26 Anambra Central senatorial rerun election with a view to deciding how best to fight the great injustice meted out to me and to my party, APGA.

You may recall that I had swiftly rejected the result of that rerun election, which returned victory in favour of Dr. Chris Ngige of the ACN. I made it clear that I was rigged out and that the result was not acceptable. It would obviously have been wrong for me to complain about being robbed and then do nothing to recover my mandate.

I wish to inform you, my dear friends, that this morning my petition challenging the declaration of Ngige as the Senator for Anambra Central was filed with the Election Tribunal at Awka, the state capital.

I wish to make it clear that I am not desperate to become a Senator. While I am willing to serve in whatever capacity that would enable me to contribute to Nigeria’s development, I do not see the occupation of any office or position as a do-or-die affair. That was why I gave up the position of Minister last December 15 to enter the senatorial race.

WHY I AM AT THE TRIBUNAL

My main reason for going to the Election Tribunal is to contribute to the fight against electoral malpractices, which desperate politicians have continued to perpetrate despite the well-intentioned efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to entrench the culture of credible elections in our dear country.

It is not enough for us to complain in the comfort of our homes and then do nothing to stop rigging. If we continue to do so, I can assure you that the rigging can only get worse during future elections.

I want to be part of the process of stopping rigging, thus improving the electoral process in our dear country. This is the only way to ensure that falsehood is not rewarded and glorified; indeed, the only way we can help INEC and the larger Nigerian society on the issue of elections.

I have faith in Almighty God to use the judiciary to ensure that I get justice at the end of the day.

Once more, I thank you immensely for your support and continue to count on your prayers.

God bless you all.

Your friend,

Dora

My respect for this woman continues to decay exponentially

Does this woman not have any kids or grandchildren to attend too?

What a political animal she's proving to be.

The taste of 'Power' has left her a 'Political Addict'.

She needs to go 'chill' for a bit.

My Respect for 'Dora'

She seems to be the only living person blind to the fact that Ngige's victory over her is one of the landmark reasons Jega has earned a spotless reputation.
Others are Rochas, Akala's downfall, and ofcourse Amosun's triumph over the duo of OBJ/OGD.

Remove these instances and the world would have been hanging Jega and Nigeria by now!!

No madam. You gave up your ministerial job and decamped from PDP to APGA! That certainly smacks of desperation.

You will not be able to milk your NAFDAC rep forever. Since then, you've been an incompetent minister and a snivelling, scheming wastrel. Happily enough, many other Nigerians are beginning to see this.

smh at former heroes who turn into villains just for money and power.

So it's no longer right to challenge elections in tribunal? I'll accuse fayemi and co for desperation.
@texxapette, give me five reasons that u think made akunyili a flop as a minister and tell me the ministers that performed better than her.

Give me TWO reasons why you think she was a decent minister. Go on, i dare you!

It's like people don't pay taxes these days. If your tax money was wasted by this harridan in an imbecilic, Dead on Arrival 'Rebranding' scheme (that she wasn't even a good ambassador of sef), you'd not be here siding with this jester.

I thought this cross-eyed thing congratulated Ngige a while ago.

Anambra will never move on and get the work started if this woman does not give it a rest. Jeez! Why not just support Ngige for the betterment of the state. Losing does not mean you have to politically suppress yourself, if you have the potential, use it.

Very much identical to what i wanted to say, so i had to post this instead.
Wht do u cal JUSTICE? Ur winnin? U wanted a re-run and u got it. Why is it hard 4 u 2 accept defeat? Did u try 2 know ur popularity b4 u pickd dat senatorial form? D ppl have spoken, accept it. U r now pursuing ur selfish interest. Just pray u dont destroy ur image in d process. Ngige is a man of d ppl. He med a positiv impact in their lives. Wht did u do 4 dem?
Culled from facebook.

What i've observed in this woman is that she is just an attention seeker. Her greatest flawn was leaving her ministerial position and jump to apga believing that she would win. If not she would have been a good candidate for the post of SGF.

While it is a fact that dora is within her rights here especially as the gap between her and ngige was very slim and it could have gone either way, i think ngige is a more strategic representative for ndigbo than dora. Ngige is ndigbo's eye in acn and so far might turn out to be a strong voice in the nation. He stood up to obj and is standing while obj is seriously struggling for relevance. Ouk who also stood up to obj turned out to be a vampire and is also losing relevance. Moreover it will curtail the project of the cabal to castrate igbo men politically and keep throwing up their females that are easier to be neutralised than their men.

She has the right to challenge and should challenge in court, I believe after the court case, Ngige's margin will even increase.

Look at you guys making all the noise here. This woman this, god punish this woman, political desperato, and this and that.

Nonsense.

Dora please exercise your right to challenge a criminal and a mad man who is equally, if not more, politically desperate lol.

Some Nigerians are still upset that you tell them the truth about themselves, and fear that you'll speak up for their interest, rather than bullshit or rig elections like the clowns called Uba/Ngige

I am afraid many Nigerians shouting democracy on top their heads could be struck stack blind when they meet with system termed government of the people.

Dora has every audacious pedigree to challenge the result of so-called concluded Anambra Central senatorial election. She can even request for a recount.

And Ngige can request for forensics to be carried out on her votes. Despite the massive attempts to rig and buy votes by APGA, this harridan still lost. Thank Goodness the people of her state are intelligent enough to be wary of this greedy woman's ambition.
