The residents of Ikpa road In Akwa Ibom State, Uyo laments over the poor state of the road which has affected some houses within the terrain.

Erosion has erupted the road drastically as commuters, passersby, and vehicular movement have been affected.

The community Yesterday took to social media to plead that government should come to their rescue as houses close to the site might soon be affected.

According to source, Mr. Joesung in an interview with our reporter, stated that the road before now, was partially affected although nothing was done until now that erosion has taken over the road people are now coming to talk about it. This is because our leaders failed to take into consideration issues affecting the masses rather the focus on embezzling public funds on unseen project.

He further added that the government must take actions before lives are being affected. Already the state of the road have left many with no option finding alternative root to ply. So it will be inconvenient to those leaving around. “Government needs to do something with immediate effect” he said.
