These days no one plants yam anymore because as soon as it is 9 months old, some thief will come and harvest it for you, or rather for themselves, in the middle of the night whilst you slept and you'd end up eating worthless gari!

I wonder if it's really worth it. I mean, now that I am not planting yam my people have nothing to steal. And what I do plant is unstealable since its so valuable that I can afford to plant it inside a room and hire security for it.
