Different religious groups nurse and preach the idea that you'll go to heaven one day. A place of eternal enjoyment which is a reward to doing/pleasing a supreme being.

Why would anyone want to live forever, either on Earth or somewhere else ? A place which cannot be proven to exist. To top it all up, people who believe in this "heaven" are even more elated that some people will not be qualified to be in heaven and enjoy it with them. Isn't that selfishness.

The longer you live, the more you miss the past because humans are animal that are psychologically connected to the past; they feed, grow and develop on the past.

Apart from that, the longer you live, the more you regret about things that "could have been" and changes you could have made. I wouldn't want to be in a heaven where my family isn't found in, I will live in that heaven with heartaches and pain. Heaven is a selfish idea

Even God will not force you to live with Him in a place where time is INEXISTENT.
Since you've chosen where you want to spend your eternity, so be it. ( I pray that you will still receive mercy before its too late)

The irony of this is that God never promised humans another place apart from planet earth so it's out of curiosity about the condition of our dead loved ones that makes people think they're in a better place than earth.
Normally you will love your parents and all those who took part in raising you from childhood with everything they have to be rewarded. So you will wish they're somewhere better enjoying a better life. But that's human philosophy for you, God never said that! Psalms 115:16

Yes you're right, it wouldn't make any sense waking up somewhere better than this and you don't see those you love while you were growing. That's factual.
But come to think of it, each of this people came to this planet by birth but at different times so had it been we were all created at the same time you won't feel closer to someone than another. The process of birth is what makes you feel closely related to your dad, mum, sister and brothers than others around you. We are all humans!
So God gave each and everyone the same opportunity to prove ourselves worthy of everlasting life. Whatever each person is able to do now will determine whether you'll be given another chance or not.
That's why God used His Active force (Holy Spirit) to make those who are willing to live forever come under one Organization. They're already living as one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers globally. Isaiah 2:2-4
God promised that he's coming to put an end to oldage, sickness and death.
Perhaps as a youth living healthy with you beautiful wife you can choose a date in which you will like to expire! Ecclesiastes 3:11

It Is Only people who live under The Curse of The Creator who will surely need their sufferings, failures, shame and disappointments to come to an end.

Only for them to still be going to another place of even greater pain and suffering (BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY WICKED AND EVIL), to continue living there eternally.

Surely, such a person will like to hope that this present living under these conditions, will have a permanent and deleting end.

But All those who are under The Blessings of The Lord know that the value of Eternal Living is an Eternal Living of Enjoyment, Joy, Satisfaction, Fullness, Unending Accomplishings, Unending Wellness and No End to Good, Gooder and Goodest Things!
