Following yesterday's take over of government by Taliban in Afghanistan,I decided to browse "Taliban" through Google.

I got much information about Taliban, among which include the following:

(1) Taliban first took over government in 1996 and ruled till they were overthrown by the US led force in 2001.

(2) Taliban are at the forefront as far as persecution of women is concerned.

For instance,

(2a) All women who were working or schooling were forced to abandon their work or education.

(2b) A woman must not be seen outside except she is with a male relative.

(2c)If a woman goes outside without a male relative following her, she was publicly whipped.

(2d)A woman must completely cover her whole body and the only place that should be left uncovered are her eyes.

(2e) Women who did contrary was either publicly beaten or executed.



(2f) Women were being raped by the Taliban.



(3) Now that the Taliban are back in power, women are in tears because they have to abandon their jobs, education and freedom.

They would no longer be able to go out of their houses.

(4) Women have lost their freedom.

The first time that women lost their freedom from 1996-2001, the following happened:

(1) Most schools were closed down because most teachers were women.


Since women had to abandon their jobs, most schools were closed down because of lack of teachers.



(2) Most windows of houses were painted black so that women would not be visible to people outside the houses.


(3) So many villages were destroyed and the inhabitants were left without anywhere to stay.

But when the US overthrew the Taliban and brought democracy, women were free and started working, schooling, going out of their houses, etc until yesterday,

when as a result of US troops being evaluated from Afghanistan, the Taliban were able to get back to power after 20 years of being out of power.

Now everyone is crying.

The whole world is crying.

This is giving confidence to Boko Haram that if Taliban can succeed,then Boko Haram can succeed.

All terrorist groups are getting confidence now.

If the world does not take action,then our freedom is no longer guaranteed.

Prior to the beginning of the current freedom the world is enjoying, human beings had always been in bondage to Kings and queens.

Kings, queens, and religious leaders did as they wanted.

They killed and imprisoned people.

They subjugated people to their whims and caprices.

I have many history books in my house and the kind of horrors I read about is always alarming.


Because of these excesses of leaders, some nations decided to adopt democracy which has spread and has become the hallmark of freedom to many a nation.

For the last many years, many nations have been enjoying the fruit of democracy.

But so many terrorist groups are not happy because of the freedom people are enjoying.

They want to take over and rule autocratically.



Although we know that the current world system cannot continue forever even as the ones in the past did not continue forever,

although the US cannot continue to be world super power forever just like Rome and other ancient powers did not continue forever,

but we pray that US should continue as world power and that democracy should continue at least in our own life time.

If US should fall today, and if democracy should cease today,then the kind of affliction, bondage, and evil that people will experience will make the horrors experienced in the ancient days a child's play.


Human nature cannot be trusted outside democracy and freedom.



If democracy/freedom of citizens is taken away and leaders are free to rule as they like, then the kind of horrors that would be experienced would make the horrors of Taliban a child's play.

IT IS NOT ALWAYS THAT HUMAN BEINGS HAVE BEEN FREE.

IT IS ONLY RECENTLY THAT MOST HUMAN BEINGS ENJOY THE FREEDOM OF DEMOCRACY.

LET US HOLD FAST THIS FREEDOM.

Man's government has failed.

Do you know how many women and children have been killed since the day the united states invaded Afghanistan.

Women were more safer under the Taliban government than under a war zone created by the united States

We have lost our conscience reasoning and common sense,I dont even think was painting a picture of men oppressing woman or blah blah....Freedom!!!!You value freedom more when u lose it,people will be caged and tortured....Human beings ooh,but the truth is dis guys are becoming too powerful without resistance we call ourselves Christians or disciples,but we go back in side the closet and start backing Cowards!!!!We need to start calling what is bad the real name BAD,whether na igno man ooh or na idoma person or Hausa ooh or na ijaw,if u commit a crime u got and face the law weda u be buhäri pikin or na itsekiri man or na Labour party or ruling party anything u have build in ur head u break our law we hold u accountable and u do the time.But some people feel its their birth rite and they are more Nigerian than others because one stupid smelling fool have told dem nonsense that it's their right to rule the world and country..Its well sha

They still expect to be given 700 virgin women to be fcking when they die
