Drogo's fighting speech in the last episode made me smile. Can you imagine Joffrey leading an Army against Drogo? I don't think so. Ok, catching up on Game of Thrones. Just realised I've read the book years ago. From episode 1 I kind of remembered everything . It was a good book, and it's a great series . No spoilers for u guys who haven't read the book . Enjoy the series, cos the book is HUGE lol |

Re: The Event being cancelled, why am I not surprised? I knew it was crap by ep03. Underwood was badly cast; that was not a role for him. He has to learn to start picking wisely. And the story line: junk. Just seen a bit of Spartacus, season two. Loads of long-winded dialogue and rutty blood/sex scenes, but virtually no discernable plot. Season one was waaaay better. Watching Sanctuary. Hope it makes good. |

There is a webisode currently airing on the net (youtube), its called Mortal Kombat Legacy. For those of us dat played the game. Its a short series usually btw 10 - 15 mins long, each website focus on a character or group of characters of d game. My favourite so far is the story of Kitana and Mileena, quite interesting. You guys shud check it out i.e. if u r into d game. Lastest is on scopion and subzero, waitin for the part 2. |

ragdollz: I loved the Event and am relly upset it was cancelled, I thought the cast were prefect. Cancellation of series nowadays has nothing to do with the quality of the show rather more to do with ratings. Smallville was crap for years and was not cancelled and yet more superior shows have got canned like SGU, NOF, Event, Caprica etc. |

@Viera, I always thought ratings were based on how many viewers a show pulls? So if a lot of people are watching (ie Smallville (crap )) then the show stays. When a series starts losing mass appeal, they axe it. That's what happened to The Event and others. They have ways of measuring stuff like that. As for the Event, there was so much hype before the show started, but to me it failed to deliver. Maybe it got better I'll never know cos I stopped watching. |

ragdollz, you are absolutely correct, what I was trying to say was that sometimes a crap show will get great ratings and hence be kept where a quality one may not catch the right audience. In the past some stations used to have patience and give it at least two years but not anymore! Look at the Office, it was not an instant hit but grew and got a massive following. Some shows do not hit the mark till at least season two or three, you at Seinfeld. Nowadays Seinfeld would have been axed longest time. I have learnt my lessons and will now avoid shows from the US corporations unless HBO or maybe Starz, they seem to give their shows a chance |

^^Lol i know! i was like finally one catch phrase. They'd probably do Sheeva in the way Kitana and Mileena's episode was. A bit of animation. I hope they do Subzero next. He's another of my favorite. Vieira, some shows have a strong following (fan base who fight to keep the shows on) so they don't get canceled as early as should even if the ratings are good but not as good as other shows. |

Lol, @ Vieira, naaw, don't do that, these people lose a lot of money AND face when a series doesn't meet expectations. Sometimes it's cheaper for them to "let go" than continue certain shows. They prefer to go back to the drawing board and bring in a new series. In any case if everyone was a "TV snob" like me a lot of shows will get axed . Out of all the so-called popular series u guys watch, the vampires, the sci-fi, the action/thrillers, only a quater of them get my full attention . I guess I'm picky, lol |
