dairykidd: Nigerians are the most optimistic people on Earth. Mention anything that poses a clear and resent danger to all human beings, then prepare to be greeted with trite catch-phrases like "It is not my portion", or "It is well", or " God forbid bad ting." For people afflicted with that blindly cheerful outlook in the face of looming dangers, and who have handed the steering wheel of their life to deities and gods, simple common-sense precautions such as wearing a seatbelt when in a car, or wearing a face mask during a pandemic, are unnecessary preventatives that only need to be considered by non-believers. The hospitals and mortuaries are FULL of people who just loved to utter moronic sayings like "It is not my portion", "It is well", or "God forbid bad ting", right up until the moment when they earn themselves a 20-naira cheap death caused directly by their very own utter imbecility. Common sense is NOT common at all. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Fatal mistake is going into a hospital with flu symptoms. There's a bounty paid to hospitals and doctors on every phantom Covid case and an even bigger bounty on every Covid death (genocide) I've read up to thousands of naira a death! Don't report to a hospital if you feel flu symptoms as that is proving to be a fatal mistake! Those hospitals are in need of that money. |

kingthreat: This is a correct statement of fact, however, it is worth bearing in mind that face masks minimize the risk of transmission, which in my view makes them worthwhile for as long as this pandemic rages. If the "not my portion" crew remain disinclined to take measures that mitigate the risk of infection by this deadly and highly contagious pathogen, I can only hope for their sake that Papa God picks their phone calls when they wind up infected and struggling to breathe in a hospital bed, as a direct result of freely inhaling tainted air pervading crowded public places where precious few may choose to wear a mask. Personally, I choose not to assign Papa God with the duty of protecting me from my own ignorant mistakes, by simply avoiding such errors in the first place. Papa God is way too busy attending to tithe-paying churchgoers, meaning that stingy bastards like me are basically on their own, with respect to all matters that require a healthy survival instinct based on the application of common sense. 1 Like |

sammirano:The numbers are rising because they are actually doing so.. THOUSANDS are suffering from the disease in Nigeria, who nobody has bothered to test for.. In fact any number you get quoted officially, times it by a multiple of a hundred and that might be the truer picture.. After 18 months of being around, the disease is now endemic and as common as the common cold or malaria.. 1 Like |
