The Centre for Information Technology (CITS) department at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is currently on fire, [url][/url] reports

The cause of the fire is unknown as of the time of this report.

However, it’s possible that it happened as a result of a spark.

UNILAG Students are devastated at this moment, as their exams are in few weeks time and with this happening, they don’t know if these exams are going to hold or not, or it’s going to be used as another excuse to keep students at home again.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka have approved the reopening of hostels to students from August 26.

The varsity’s authorities also approved the commencement of the second-semester examinations physically on campus.

A statement issued to the students stated that the reopening was coming six weeks after the closure of hostels and the suspension of physical lectures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on campus.
