NONSENSE! From 12 midnight ultimatum to we are still consulting. A problem that Obasanjo failed to solve, late Yar'dau couldn't solve, Jonathan couldn't even solve then all of a sudden if Buhari doesn't solve it then he is incompetent.

Unionism has been politicalized already and no one takes unionism or unionists seriously again. The various union leaders in the country now want cuts from the cake. Don't be surprised if after the consultation nothing happens. I guess they're buying time for some envelopes to round.

Unionism died in Nigeria after Oshomole left NLC as its leader.
Belated view. People have long gone past this line of low.

We already know your next course of action..
Academicians that cannot be innovative.
This is to show how useless, ineffective and ineffectual our education system is.
Why not consider an alternative that isn’t detrimental to the future of your students?
And you expect they won’t “japa” to a better society? Especially after the stress to just go to school?

Y’all should do your worst.. It won’t pass strike!!
It's funny how people brazenly make comments without understanding the fundamentals.

Nigeria public university is so bad & ineffective, yet, her graduates are comfortably competing on global stage...UK, US, Russia, Canada, Saudi Arabia,etc

You want innovative discussion with FG. Can you suggest please? Because if it's consultation with Senate, House of Reps, SGF, Chief of Staff to the President, Royal Fathers, Student Unions, Parents...All that has been done.

They have also initiated remittance of % by multinationals to fund Tertiary Education - TETFUND (Monies currently been misappropriated by FG). They initiated stamp/postal duties which has been usurped by FG.

Please can you suggest what ASUU should do, ye compendium of all knowledge?

It is the person’s efforts.. Not that of those glorified & ancient relics you call universities.
In truth, what is the quality of education delivered in these schools?
University education isn’t supposed to be cheap and for everybody. If you desire it, you pay a premium for QUALITY education; not just education.
The same way they are incapable of making useful research is the same way they are incapable of reinventing the wheel.
You think other governments don’t fall short on their commitments to education?
Is STRIKE the best course of action?

Let's keep fingers crossed to see what will end the saga.
Rock your wife or gf with Titan Gel
It increases penis size
It makes you last longer
It enhances libido

Ngige should be sacked. I wonder why Buhari will not fire him maybe until the entire labour force is paralysed, a female minister of labour will not behave like this Nnewi man who doesn't care

My thoughts too.

A core Northerner will do better cool

collecting petitions;

demonstrations/protests outside of working hours;

using local and national media and the Internet to generate debate and discussion;

Involving international bodies like the case of EndSars.

Generating internal revenue and alternative source of funds for the mean time.

For the record, I'm not against ASUU at all. I'm in full support of their course. I'm just really concerned about the affected students who have wasted years and opportunities this back and forth strikes brought them.

You are so funny. A Doctor is trained in our University. Done clinicals., residency etc. They are fully trained and they leave the country to the US, UK, Saudi etc. Yet those who taught him for 7years are not to be credited.

The Alper-Doger Scientific INDEX has just recognized and awarded a Nigerian Nigeria-based Professor of Biochemistry in 2021. But, you definitely would attribute that to his personal effort, not the University in Nigeria.

Prof. Andrew Nok (of blessed memory), Prof. Farombi, Prof. Atawodi, Prof. Ogbonna, Prof. Bilbis are a few I need you to read about, before berating the Universities in Nigeria.

As for paying for education, I agree with you. But people can only pay what they can afford., And without deliberate extra funding effort from FG, we would be worse-off. Take a look at educationally disadvantaged North and extrapolate what will happen if same happens in other regions.

I rest my case sir.
