I am not sure if this has been put up yet so I apologise for any duplication of posts that may arise!

Just reflecting on this piece from BBC - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13459870.stm

I understand that discipline is very important in all endeavours in life and in fact it is a key variable in attaining success, as humans we are not naturally programmed to be disciplined. It is a learnt virtue mainly due to familial, environmental and societal influences.

Not to digress from the topic, I feel Siasia's decision to exclude Osaze from the the upcoming friendlies is a bad decision. Osaze erred by displaying lack of respect for the office of the coach and also exhibiting basic error in judgement, however, excluding the Nigerian player that arguably had the best season in Europe because of this is baffling, considering that Nigerian football is not comprised of monumental availabilty of talents at the moment. I understand the need to exercise control as a coach but you cannot act as if you are coaching the Brazillian or Argentinian team that can easily find readily available replacements or substitutes.

My main point is Siasia who is currently trying to recruit foreign born Nigerians to play football in Nigerian colours should a bit more pragmatic maybe even more forward-thinking.

Osaze had the opportunity to play for Ukraine/Russia but decided to play for Nigeria based on advise from his father, yet because of what can be considered as trivial disagreements that could have been resolved in-house, he decides to publicly humiliate him.

What precedents or more appropriately- what examples is he giving to future foreign born Nigerians that want to play for the country, is it the typical Nigerian do as I say and don't argue with me mentality? , Please discuss,

If siasia was a woman,I'd have referred to him as a bitch. However he is a bitch in male"s apparel. If he loses that match odemwengie will only become popular.

why would osaze become very poplar?that is thge problem we have in this country,3 yrs from now we will all start complaining about indiscipline.we all like quick success without looking at what they also bring with it
that is why we dont have players graduating from the jnr teams to the snr yteams anymore cos at U-17 they already 45 yrs old.thats why we had the mafia in the SE that has plunged us into this darkness where we have mediocre players playing for Nigeria.
how many of the current SE players can be compared to the 94 team?NONE
peter Rufai

vicor nosa ikpeba==jay jay okocha==sunday (FEDEX) oliseh==george "telegraph" finidi
tashidi yekiniiiiiiiii====daniel amokachi

right after these boys/men/grand papas did us proud,we nigerians tot we could allow them do whatever and we all know what has happened to our beloved SE since them.we have been disgraced and embarrased over the yrs and indiscipline was the major cause and NOW THE COACH IS TRYING TO STAMP THAT OUT YET SOME NIGERIANS(WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY) THINK THE COACH IS WRONG
if this is not done, siasia would have sealed his fate

i agree with u milehigh06.
hollandis sounds like a stark illiterate/f.o.o.l when he writes.
people like him should be euthanized A.S.A.P
Sia Sia did what every other coach would/should do and that not allowing nonsense, because that enforces discipline. I remember in training recently, CR7 was acting mean to mourinho.(he didnt even outright insult him or anything like that) and then cr7 didnt play the next game. simply because he was mean.
In my opinion Sia Sia did too little if anything. Some coaches would not even let their player smell the bench, talk less of the pitch if they did such nonsense
