I'm not concerned about what will happen in Nigeria.

My only concern is how Yorubas can be excised out of Nigeria .
Your are imagining an utopia that never existed, the Yorubas fought themselves for centuries, it was only the coming of the British & colonization that settled the rifts, nobody wants to go back to 100 years of fighting each other for supremacy.

Sorry don’t think that is possible, you are better off planning how you can leave Nigeria to another country.

I don't believe anything is impossible.

For how long will I be outside the country helping to build an economy that doesn't really benefit my own people?

And when Fulanis overrun my homeland, am I supposed to just look away like it's nothing?

You are highly misinformed. No one has stopped you from developing your state? You have a state Governor What has he done for the people of the state? Or is Buhari Nigeria? Let your people develop the land, let your so called Fulani see where they will carry their malus to.

I know some people are happy that the dollar keeps appreciating against the naira.

If the dollar keep appreciating that means the cost of goods and services will increase, which will make life more difficult for you.

If you like keep buying dollar and saving it in dollars or usdt, as long as exchange rates are not stable, you are losing and also losing even when you convert your saved dollar back to naira, inflation will devalued it.

Na lie bros. Better convert that useless UAR naira to USD. E don nearly finish for UAR

You are wrong.

I have had this same conversation with people who held such opinion.

I have had such opinions in the past myself, until I learnt more about the history of my people.

Yes, the Yorubas had always fought bitter civil wars amongst themselves.

Then, just as there was about to dawn on us a golden age, where there'd be peace, the whites happened along and enslaved us.

We weren't given the chance to heal the wounds and truly bond.

Being in Nigeria hasn't healed the wounds.

What being in Nigeria has done is to make sure we don't address the issues that made us go to war in the first place.

No matter how long we remain in Nigeria, we will still need to come out of her and address our issues.

Better now than leave this to our children's children.

The Yoruba race was already a nation before the Brits came.

What we need to do is to get that nation back on its feet.

Nobody's saying that it will be a Utopia immediately. No one is saying developing the Yoruba nation will be a piece of cake.

What we are saying is that, our identity as a people is lost in Nigeria where we have to speak English so that all Nigerians can understand us.

What this has created is a generation of Yorubas who can't speak Yoruba fluently and still can't speak English without grammar errors.

And that's just language.

Talk about other aspects of our culture and Yoruba spirituality. And you'll see that we are the ones losing out here.

Would we as Yorubas rather be colonized by the Fulanis than to have our nation?

A people of over 65 million indigenes can't have their own country?

Canada is barely 40million.

A people with centuries even millennia of shared culture, tradition, language, worldview, religion, etc can't have a nation of their own?

How? Why?

Despite the diversity Canadians have learnt to live with each other, Nigerians have to learn to live with each other, no different from the United States, despite the injustice of 400 years ago, that still persist till today, aren’t they finding bodies of young native Indians exterminated by the Catholic Church in Canada even as of last month, is anyone calling for the separation of Canada or the United States?

Maybe you can tell us how much power the constitution gives to the state governors in Nigeria as the chief security officers of their various states.

Why don't you start from there.

Is Nigeria practicing state police? No!

The governors just fold their arms helplessly and watch their people being murdered on a daily by Fulanis. And you call that a nation?

How about power? Do the governors have the rights to develop and improve the electric power of their states?

The answer is NO!

Power and security are both on the exclusive list of the federal government.

So, ask yourself, how does a state develop with epileptic power supply and insecurity in the state?

Just one question if you can answer it we continue, How Much has your state Governor collected in Security votes from the Federal Allocation Committee since 2015? Why is he collecting extra money for security since he is not in charge of security?

What you don't seem to understand is that Canada is not Nigeria.

Canada is still a colony of the British.

And most of the land in Canada belongs to the queen of England.

The United States is also not Nigeria. The country was built on the backs of black slaves.

That's why till tomorrow the gaping wound of racism will always continue to bleed.

What you don't understand is that what we call ethnic groups in Africa are actually nation states in Europe.

What the Brits did to Nigeria is tantamount to us going to Europe and amalgamating the English, the French, the Germans, the Italians, the Spanish and the Polish together and then telling the Germans they are the real owners of that contrived country.

Think about that.

I have already told you, I ain't concerned about what Nigeria does to herself. I am only concerned about the Yorubas.

The question you've asked has no answer because even the courts can't compel the state governors to reveal how much they get as security votes.

No one knows except those who give and those who collect.

And that doesn't mean crap anyway. They've always collected it. And they will continue to collect it for as long as the behemoth called Nigeria continues to exist.

There's nothing they can do with it.

The constitution doesn't empower them to protect their people. That's why Amotekun is a failure.

That is only in the hands of the federal government. Civic study 101.

It will still hit 600 before the end of this yr, next time when Nigeria hear change they'll think twice

Probably a N1,000 to a naira..

Why?

Because there are no clue, policy, vision or blue print by this govt to earn foreign exchange for the country other than crude oil.

The demand and pressure on $Dollar is alarming, couple with how the acclaimed wealthy class will need bunch of dollars to pay for their kids tuition abroad.

How do you expect the economy to improve, when the real sector can't access Dollars for raw materials....note that over 80% of raw materials are imported.

Tell me, how will the Dollar not hit N1k soon.
