Not like I even know any Imam personally right now but I hardly see any of them presented in a bad light lately. It left me wondering when they all turned saints!

With that in mind, it's obvious the case is not the same with pastors. Almost every Sunday I read about one vice or the other by a pastor. If they didn't marry somebody's wife, they killed one for ritual. If they're not caught with charms they're caught with human parts.

My question is, why don't we hear about their counterparts in the other religion? Are pastors that vile or there's a conspiracy against Christianity subtly sponsored by the media, especially on nairaland?

I don't mean to shake any table but I think it's worth noting.

They do worse, it's just that they see it as normal, or they do not count it as sin. From the bits we read about Islam, we understand that they support child marriage, is child marriage not child abuse? They also support killing for their God, and so many other things. So you see that their religion does not see these things as sin. From daily news, we get to see that these people have the highest number of homosexual reports, but they are their brothers keeper, and don't blow things up. Whereas in the church, if you sin, they give you suspension and blow things up.

We hear of Muslim clerics in one sexcapde or the other but Muslims are more clannish about their religion than others so you won’t generally see them broadcast it unfettered.

Apart from POLITICS Islam would have won the heart of billions on this planet because they really want to believe in brotherhood but in the face of politics all their teachings become USELESS! undecided

Billions more you mean.

If many more can differentiate the political Islam from the religious Islam like you, many more will love islam.

It requires the UNCOMMON SENSE to see such things because 99.9% of people only listen to what others say instead of reading their actions. Whereas ACTION speaks louder than WORDS!
If the Qur'an condemns forcing a girl into marriage without her consent nor her parent's, definitely those guys raping young girls in the name of Islam have another motive. They can never convince any right thinking person that they're doing so for God! smiley

So the church is her own problem in this respect.
That's appalling!

Don't tell me the Quran condemns early, infact, premature marriage.
Don't even try to tactfully derail this thread.
Thank you!

Calm down and learn!
If that's truly the order in Islam how come the daughters of prominent Muslims aren't forced into early marriage?

Have you ever heard of the daughter of any prominent Muslim being forced into child marriage?

So calm down and learn! smiley

Christian clannish ness is skewed towards their own denominations or in groups so you’ll see Catholics bashing Protestants and vice versa while Muslims hardly do that.

The politics is what has fragmented the Muslims into groups and nations under different Amirs, with each craving for dominance over the other.

On another hand colonialism and western interference into the politics of Islam has also led to bitter rivalry among the pros.
This can be seen around North Africa and the Middle East up to the South East Asia.

What do you mean by the church is her own problem? Are you trying to say it is good to cover up sins and crimes? undecided . In Christianity, we don't cover misconducts, we call the person to order. The calling to order can be done in secret or openly. In some churches they give what is called "suspension" that's the right thing, and that's why even in our normal society ((outside the church), those who commit crimes are called to order/arrested/serve punishment. If other religions were not covering up crimes, then believe me you would have been seeing them daily in the news for several misconducts. By the way, yes, you are correct that there are several conspiracies against Christianity.

It's skewed alright.
To me, that's arant foolishness.

As if they ask if you're catholic or protestant when they start killing Christians.

Nothing to learn abeg. The so called prominent Muslims also practice the nonsense. Remember yerima.
I lived with Muslims, I schooled in the north and I still have many of them as friends.

Thing is what we cringe at is their normal, that's why it's hardly news.
I'd go with a similar submission by one of the comments up there

I'm not averse to discipline within the church context. My grouse is with the treatment it's getting on the media. They practically dig it up from wherever and make sure it shores up on Sunday.

Friday just passed and I didn't see any Imam this or Imam that but watch out tomorrow, before the end of the day you'll see one funny news about a pastor or just the church.

What anoys me the most is how so called Christians will gleefully join to rubbish the pastors or whoever.

Thank God you agree with me that there are conspiracies.

I'm just doing my bit in calling them out.

It's worse on NAIRALAND and I'm

Re: Satire: An Imam stole At Shoprite by LilMissFavvy(f): 7:18pm On Sep 04, 2021
Okay, I now understand you. A great MOG who holds a yearly crusade, had held his yearly crusade as usual. One of the security men noticed a woman, walking in the dark area of the crusade grounds. She was stopped and questioned why she was patrolling the premises, she was asked to show the content of the bag she was holding. Well, inside her bag was a baby and a knife. She was arrested, and she opened up that she was sent to kill the baby and drop in the crusade grounds, so as to drag the MOG into a ritual scandal. Of course she was arrested and made to face the law, and mention those who sent her. So now imagine if she wasn't caught, a MOG who has always been free from scandal, would have been wrongly accused, and many Christians will join in calling him names when the news pops up. Not all of them are guilty anyway, like you said, there is a conspiracy against the religion. It's annoying to keep seeing these scandals no doubt.
