There is an opening for the position of an IT Officer in a conglomerate on Victoria Island with 2 other offices on the Mainland (the IT Officer will shuttle between Island and Mainland Offices).

Job Description:

 Provide comprehensive support to the IT Manager in project execution and closure
 Perform resolution of IT related hardware, software and network issues within the group's entities
 Assist in the receipt of IT related hardware, software and network issues
 Analyze and/or resolve hardware, software, and application problems
 Participate in IT project planning and execution
 Gather information necessary for service performance evaluation against IT Unit Core Business objectives
 Analyze, detects, identifies and correct technical problems and deficiencies, ranging from network issues, collaboration tools and business applications
 Maintain up-to-date record on Network infrastructure
 Maintain up-to-date IT asset database
 Create and maintain activity log report indicating problem and solution
 Rotation of backup tapes
 Prepare and submit periodic activity/ reports to the IT Manager
 Resolve IT Projects related issues and attend to service requests from employees within the group's entities
 Perform any other duties as assigned by the IT Manager
 Provide first level support for ERP issues
 Provide adequate support for Microsoft 365 Productivity and collaboration tools



SKILLS
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Strong understanding of Network Infrastructure, Server Infrastructure-Windows Server Roles and Features configuration of routers and switches
 Good knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft collaboration tools (Outlook, Forms, Teams, etc.)
 Knowledge of VOIP will be an advantage
 Good understanding of IT Service Management process and tools
 Ability to multi-task and prioritize
 Excellent problem-solving skill, must possess an analytical mind
 Excellent customer centric attitude
 Business application Knowledge


REQUIREMENTS

- HND / B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering, Elect-Elect Engineering or related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years cognate experience in IT
- CCNA and MCITP or other relevant certifications will be an advantage
