Agho Obaseki was Iyasere in the time of Oba Eweka ll. Oba Eweka knew the role Agho played in his coronation but yet he letf him there. Oba Akenzua still kept Obaseki as his iyasere till Obaseki died. Some titles are for life.

Some titles also are made for certain families. Nobody outside that family can take such title. Some titles in Benin are even hereditary.

Less than two years later the family has done the right thing in nominating another and Ayiri removed as the Ologbotsere which he shouldn't have been in the first place. The King in his wisdom offered him another lesser title which he declined.
