The face-off between governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state and Federal Minister of Special Duties, Senator George Akume continues.

It can be recalled that Akume made a triumphant entry into Benue on Monday for All Progressive Congress, APC, chairmanship campaign in the state.

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the state said the coming of Akume into the state was to rubbish governor Ortom and the PDP over the separate press conferences the duo held.

Akume held his press conference in Abuja where he called for state of emergency in Benue, disbandment of livestock guide and seek explanation from the governor on the over N500 billion Benue state earned in the 6 years of Ortom as governor.

However, some youths in Benue took to the streets of Makurdi yesterday, September 8 to march in solidarity with Governor Ortom.

The march which was tagged a ‘5000 man March’ commenced by 8am with point of take off at JS Tarka Foundation.

According.to them, the march was to appreciate governor Ortom for standing firm in the fight against insecurity.

During the protest, a woman was spotted with a placard that hot everyone talking, the placard contained a direct insult on the person of Akume.

The placard reads:

“Akume is a failed Abortion Whose Birth Certificate Is An Apology From The Condom Factory”

He first decamped to APC won the seat decamped to PDP to win his re run so all this squabble is for show
