The source of this currency is still unknown, and it is surrounded by a great deal of mystery, problems, fears and dangers.

Hence we do not advise you to invest in it until its true nature becomes apparent and it is known who is behind it.

Even now, the facts of the matter are not clear to us, so we are unable to issue a fatwa concerning it.

There are issues that are clearly halal and others that are clearly haram . Between are doubtful matters (mushtabihat). Bitcoin transactions are categorised as doubtful. If you have contrary arguments with strong evidences, feel free to share. Indeed, knowledge is vast.

I will say it again that we have to be careful with the way we pass fatwa, we need to read through again and again and we will understand that the fiat currency is the real scam that Islam should have found a ruling on.

Should we talk about the Quantitative Easing in fiat currencies?
Should we talk about how the Central Banks are controlling and creating artificial Rates and Inflations?
and so many of them... but we have not even tried to compare the Cryptocurrency to these fiat currencies to see the possibilities of a better future even for the poor, yet we are quick to pass fatwa that are not even researched... what a shame!

Please, read up Distributed Ledger Technology and that should do a little if not more or you read more on Blockchain Technology.

I fear for our future as a religion, if we cant make research and quick to pass fatwa!
Shaitan is in the heart of some clerics.... JUST MAYBE!
