A young man by name Etido Inyang from Ikono L.G.A of Akwa Ibom state who got married to an American lady by name Migdalia Vasquez in 2019 has stated why he is still living alone in Abuja without traveling to live with his wife in the United States.
According to Mr Etido Inyang, he said: "I thank Jehovah God everyday for life, goodness, mercy and many more... but I just want to use this opportunity to thank all those who in one way or the other supported us to a successful wedding ceremony.
I live a private life. I mind my own business and I don't bother anyone.
This is how we started.
I met my wife around April 2017. We started dating at some point and I proposed to her in October 2017. She lived in Nigeria for some months and started learning Ibibio language and pidgin English. She liked the environment, culture and the people of Akwa Ibom and Nigeria as a whole and accepted to be a Nigerian.
Two years later, we got married in 25/26 October 2019. We had a great and successful wedding and we were all over the media. Two weeks after the wedding, she returned to the United States for her job and other things.
Three weeks after returning to the United States the spread of a deadly virus called Covid-19 began.
In January 2020 to December 2020, U.S immigrants visas were suspended in Nigeria by the former president of the United States.
Though the restriction was lifted by the current administration, embassies have so many applicants to work on plus covid-19 measures. Visas are not approved in just a day. Time is required. Visas take months and years to process depending on the visa type

As for me and my wife, Nobody can decide for us when and where to live. We may decide to live in Uyo, Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt or the U.S. We have nice and beautiful cities in Nigeria and many foreigners are having fabulous time living here.
I'm always thankful to God my wife didn't contact coronavirus while coming to Nigeria for the marriage and when going back. Covid-19 is real and it's still infecting and killing people in different countries including Nigeria till today. Thanks to the governments for distributing the Covid-19 vaccines all over Nigeria.
