But the thing, I have strong passion for my course, I have even applied for M. SC(1 year) in another University just to gain more knowledge, already have thesis topic and everything that I will need all through, I have already initiated how to japa through study abroad once I finish my course, now I am scared, like really scared because if the plan doesn't work out, then I will be losing a very good opportunity.

Note : I can't study my M. SC in that university because they do not have the department and equipments

Work experience is more important than academic knowledge. Consider online distance learning to supplement your work experience.

Start the job, and do part-time Master degree program.

Op i strongly suggest you go for your masters abroad, i pressume it's in advance countries like Canada, Germany, Australia etc, if so, please make the move, it will be far more rewarding in the future than slaving away in a Nigerian institution where salaries and welfare are nothing to write home about. That said, it seems most commenters here assume your m.s.c would be done here in Nigeria(probably because they did'nt read your post carefully) which even me would rebuffed, but bro moving abroad, if done right,could be your best ever decision- and the study route is one of the best way to actualize this aspiration.

Take the admission and defer it, then meet your HOD (your Senior colleauge) and discussed the development with him having deferred it. Because the standard in Federal University is that one must possess Masters Degree before confirmation of appointment can be done. Though it might not be the case in Private varsity, but i have a strong believe that they will welcome the idea of acquiring more knowledge.

Education is a means to an end and not an end in itself. Having said that, I wish you have access to Obafemi Awolowo University Inaugural Lecture Series 262 titled "Educated And Qualified, But Jobless: A Challenge For Sustainable Development In Nigeria" by Professor S. I. Oladeji (BSc Ibadan; MSc London; PhD Ife), it would have given you a clue to your question.

In the same vein, how can you have project topic while at home? What you have is not a topic until agreement is reached between you and whoever that will be assigned to you as supervisor on the course of the MSc.

Take the job pls and with time you will diff need the masters. Since it is a lecturing job and with time the school will allow you go for masters. Thanks

Let me tell you this as someone who almost quitted his job for a master's degree. Thank God I didn't.

Please take the job and do a part time, before long, the knowledge and experience you'd have gained, your masters can't come near.

He said once he finished his course, he will japa. He wasn't that explicit maybe he wants to do PhD there or just to move after masters here.

Take the Uni Job. If you are already employed as a lecturer in a University, it could be easier to get Masters in foreign universities if your plan is to go abroad. But note that you will need references and if your senior colleagues in that university are not your close friends, getting references while you are still working there could be difficult.

U will finish your msc and still continue looking for job. Do you know how many masters holders that are roaming the street without job? Msc is not a guarantee ooo.

How come you graduated in 2019, likely finished your NYSC in 2021 and offered a Level 12 post in University none tutorial Not contiss 7, how many years of work experiences earned you that Level 12 ?

Take the job and combine it with the masters.

I think I should add some info.

Firstly, The job is a Non academic Job and I only used level 12 so that just to portray the rank where I am going to start, (don't know the the system of grade level in use not sure they use CONTISS).
Secondly on the part of experience, during my service year, I was posted to Federal University where I was tasked with assisting a woman that acts in similar role also I acted in similar position for 2-3 months when the woman in charge was sick because the University was short staffed. Also my combined work experience before and during University is running to 13 years
Thirdly : I possess at least 10 professional qualifications that I think gives me an edge
Fourth point : I have added advantage (pls don't ask me about this advantage, pls)

Don't mind OP, level 12? As a starter? Oga, I work in a federal University and even after the 3 years regular waiting period for next promotion, you can't get to 12 after 6 years.
