Please I need advice from those who have travelled out of Nigeria.
There is this guy that said he will sponsor me out of Nigeria through a work Visa to AU. That the only thing which I needed was to pay him money for the waybill for the papers he is going to process. Which I did.. (N70k). The agreement was he will take care of the flight and every other expense. Later he told me I should send another money again for an affidavit or I go to FCT to do an affidavit myself showing that I'm single that I should ask people who have traveled. So, at this point, I started doubting his motives.
My question is how do I know if I'm not falling into the wrong hands. Please advise. He is an old friend who just appeared in the picture for over a decade.

Please no insult I'm just curious.

Hopefully, I will write or narrate the full story for others to learn too.

The 70k is the only money which I have already paid to him because I zero my mind that I won't send any money to him until he fulfils his own part of his promise.

I don’t know if it’s a scam, but bachelorhood certificate is real. It can be obtained from any of the marriage registries in Nigeria.
You will however need to swear an affidavit that you are single.

And he said it's for the work visa. Which I have done my research and it's not relating .

There is bachelorhood affidavit but it’s required if you want to do court marriage. Be sure to know why the affidavit is needed

There's no relationship between getting a work visa and a bachelorhood affidavit. Absolutely none at all. To get a work visa is pretty simple: garner relevant skills, apply to companies abroad through different portals, get tested and interviewed and the recruiting company will be the one to apply on your behalf to immigration authorities.

That's how work visas are processed not through agents.
