The of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Friday vowed to track down the founder of AbokiFx, Oniwinde Adedotun, for foreign exchange sabotage.

AbokiFX is an online platform that publishes live foreign exchange rates.

CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, while addressing journalists at the end of the 2-day MPC meeting in Abuja, accused the online platform of sabotaging the Nigerian economy by publishing speculative black market rates.

He said, “We found him as a Nigerian who lives in England, and conducts this nefarious and criminal activity on our economy.

“It is an economic sabotage and we will pursue him wherever he is. We will report him to international security agencies.

We’ll track him, Mr. Oniwinde, we will find you, because we cannot allow you to continue to conduct an illegal activity that kills our economy.”

Your question should be "why are Nigerians sabotaging Nigeria?". Or, are you saying you don't understand that the situation of this country is all about conspiracy theory? Well, we are all in it together. If we succeeds in running away, I am not sure all our close relatives would be able to run as well; either ways, we are affected directly or indirectly.

Emefiele is a f ool,but any measure taken to tackle artificial speculation of the Naira and stop it's spiralling rate must be taken.
But this government and emefiele are not that people that can do it because it was the stup id policy starting way back 2015 that got us to this mess.

If this administration had been rational, they would have fired Emefiele a long time ago. This is the worst CBN governor yet.

Wait oo... Is it not the rate that is on ground tht is being published on abokifx. Coz I have followed abokifx and made an exchange tht the marginal different with what I saw on abokifx wasn't much.

This is the problem with some Nigerians, you cry and moan about Nigeria, you wail for a better Nigeria, but you have zero interest in doing anything better for Nigeria to be better.

When people go to the CNB with travel documents to secure FX, your government in all honesty per their job and responsibility give you the FX, but you crooked and corrupt Nigerian has no intention of traveling anywhere so you collect the FX and head straight to Aboki FX to sell the FX for more money, you put your own greed before Nigeria your own country, you undermine her currency and sabotage her economy.

There's a reason why they don't have anything like Aboki FX or any kind of unregulated FX market in the UK, USA, Canada or in any sane society, it's criminal and against the law and they won't hesitate to send you to prison for financial crimes.
