This happen to my family friend and thought i did ask the house about this, Would it be creepy for your own father to ask to be in the delivery room when you give birth to your baby?

Errmm, Swerat,  Me taking a shower in the presence of Popsy is a different case scenerio from me giving birth.

My husband is gonna be there too! Duh! So because my dad didn't do the 'thing', that means he can't be there.? Mumsy is gonna be there too and she didn't do the 'thing'. Oya talk. Abeg.

I'm that close to popsy, so I don't see a problem with it.  undecided

make una kuku allow all the family members in to the labour room na,shebi they'rfamily, kini big deal,

i don't subscribe to that at all,you getting married is you starting a family unit of ur own, ergo, labour room= me, husband and new baby, chikena.

no dads or mums allowed, not that i don't love them, but its time for me to leave them and cleave to my husband/new family unit

What's wrong if grandfather and grand mother are in the delivery room -- were the male doctors helping with delivery the one that shagged you ? But they still get to see the punny. Child birth is a beautiful experience and its not about the pus.s.y but about God's wonderful gift of joy and life.

If my dad ask me that question honestly I will wonder if it is old age that is worrying him. There are a million other things he would rather be doing like praying while I am labor.

grin at topic and answers.
My dad cannot even handle looking at me in the eyes and talking about dating/men etc. let alone that. He could be outside of the room praying like somebody said. Not in the room, but heck I wouldnt even care who is there or not at that moment!

@poster
is there nobody else more worthy of being there (aka husband) rather than dad?!

I don't think it's creepy, and I wouldn't mind.

Re: Creepy: Or Not Creepy? Your Thoughts by Tricici(f): 3:30pm On May 29, 2011
oh my daddy wouldn't even bother. he'd be sipping on his beer & waiting for the good news
Re: Creepy: Or Not Creepy? Your Thoughts by zayhal(f): 12:44pm On May 30, 2011
he wouldn't even ask me. And I won't even let him know I'm going into labour because he'll kill himself with anxiety. I'd rather have the baby and give him the good news afterwards.

haba! My dad in labour room with me? Capital NO!

And what would his role be in there? He could be at the hospital at the time but definitely not in the delivery room.

My cousin had us all in there, including her husband. There were 9 of us total in the room. We were pleading with her to "Push! Push!"

I got it all on video too! (By her request, of course)
