This is as a result of massive logging by Asian proxies in the middle belt and the South. Massive logging is also going on in the Cameroon. These elephants are being pressured out of there hatbitats by these Asian businesses who pay Africans to loot down everything in sight. Wouldn't be surprised if the elephant s gone by now since the huge tusks are badly needed is Asia..
I'm surprised this brilliant comment is coming from an Ipob supporter..
so we have ipob members that are educated

It honestly makes me wonder when everyone has stolen Nigeria's natural resources and our leaders and people have stolen all the money, what's going to be left? It's seriously worrying.

Elephants are not like lions or monkeys. Elephants move from one area to another. They are like normads/ Fulani herdmen

The elephant looks lonely and depressed. They've killed off everyone in its group. It's slowly dying

Saying massive logging or related activities brought them out is not necessarily true. Elephants are migratory animals. They move from one place to another always. They hardly find a spot and settle there. They are always on the move. An group of elephants spotted in Nigeria today could be found in another country in some months time.

So why were they not normally seen in these areas in the past? Obviously folks are excited because they seldom see these animals. Or are you saying that these elephants migratory pattern happens once in a century?
