Dear Nairalander,

There were two friends dreamed to own their computer software workshops.

One is John and the other is Chike

They both studied the same course and graduated with the same grade from the same University.

Few months after their graduation, they both set apart to build their dream.

Fast forward to 10 years later, they met at a big restaurant in their city.

And as friends,

they started discussing many things

John then asked about their dreams.

Chike smiled, and said, "I was just coming from new branch in the next city"

Chike had established the software workshop while the john hadn't

Chike asked him why.

He said, he was told that it would take him 5 years to start seeing results so he abandoned it.

Chike was surprised and said,

"I waited for 6 years to establish mine and now it's bringing good profit."

John regretted bitterly saying how he wished he had started early.

Are you being affected by this?

When you are told to start something that it will take some time to start seeing results.

You are engulfed by instant gratification and timing, so you feel discouraged.

The truth is that whether you like it or not, the years will come and you will regret not starting earlier.

Except that you die, the years will still roll by and you will regret for not having that thing.

You don't only wish, it's for mere low people like John I talked about earlier.

You work alongside with your wish.

Let me ask you...

Have you heard of a baby boy crying before?.

Mehn!.... boys are stubborn

Can you understand what he wants..

But he is crying profusely.

And you are tensed.

You are confused.

Looking around on how to pacify him.

Running to and fro of the corridor.

And eventually.

You catch your breath.

You get a biscuit...or sweet....

You give it to him.

And he stops crying.

He smiles.

Do you know what just happens?.

If he hadn't cried earlier, would you know what he needs?

The baby doesn't only wish for what he wants.

But also works hard to get it.

The baby doesn't stop until you satisfy him.

That is life.

You can also learn from him

Don't just wish.

Noting will happen by mere wish.

_I wish I have a website, I wish I travel, I wish I own a supermarket,

I wish I am a writer,

I wish I understand Facebook ads,

I wish I am a doctor. I wish I am a copywriter._

Bla bla bla...

just stop it now..

Start from where you are.

If you want.

The choice is yours.

It is obvious that there are distractions.

That is how it will continue to be.

Noting will stop for you

You have to set an area of value for yourself, and join the trend.

Start small, think big.

Plan what you have always wanted to do and stick to it.

I can't say it will be easy, but you will be happy eventually.

I believe you can do it.

I wish you the bestest best.

Nice one Op.
Another thing is Procrastination , a killer of time.
Fear of the unkwn abt tomorrow, I don't want to loss my little source of income of today whereas a bigger fish await us it we take the risk today.
We don't want to start small, thinking starting big attracts more/big customers & high profit margin.
Our immediate/economic hardship make us to sometimes abandoned our desire dreams.
What so ever plan your have for the future, wether on a short or long term start now/today & be patient to see the results.
Good luck.
