What exactly do such a handful of poorly armed policemen do at the checkpoints, other than extort drivers of peanuts (50 to 100 Naira)?!! Most of them don't even conduct proper vehicular inspection... Kidnappers easily cross with their victims after dashing these fools 100 or 200.

Shall we talk about the unnecessary and dangerous traffic jams they cause for doing nothing close to securing lives...
