Leo Messi scored his debut goal for PSG against Manchester City, in matchday 2 of the Champions League, and UEFA has named it goal of the week.

PSG's win over Manchester City was cause for celebration for the Parisians. Messi came back from an injury and scored a memorable goal to finish off Guardiola's side.

UEFA has named the Argentinian's Champions League goal of the week. Messi got the ball in the right-wing, went forward using his speed and completed a one-two with Mbappe before scoring with a powerful and accurate shot.

The other OJ you quoted is pretending as if he doesn't know that Man City would likely have equalized if Messi had not killed their morale off with that brilliant second goal, because Man City played very well and were putting PSG's defence under tremendous pressure after the introduction of Foden.

If Messi did not score that second counter-attacking goal, Man City would have equalized with the pressure they were putting on PSG's defence after introduction of Foden. This is moreso when you consider that last season without Messi, this same PSG with Neymar and Mbappe lost at home to Man City after scoring first as well. The difference this time around was Messi. Thus your comment about Messi's contribution isn't objective.
