By 'road side' I mean companies that you walk past of every day (in the big cities though) and you do not need any special connections (or visa) or religious or tribe affiliations to get into but your skills. Don't be deceived, they do sell. There are genuine sellers. The problem is identifying them. For instance most federal jobs are allocated to senators, governors etc. If you are able to meet them, they will sell to you. I've seen this happen repeatedly. It's in the private sectors we have lots of scammers for example in shell, Chevron etc lots of scammers using these agencies to help themselves.

Some people bought a job slot that my name and that of some others where supposed to fill in a multinational corporation few years ago.

I was so sure I made the list, because my name was at the top spot when it was released.

After training, we were supposed to be posted to our various offices.

Ministers, Commissioners, permanent secretaries, DGs, directors, CEOs, executive secretaries, in fact all placed at the helm of affairs, etc all sell jobs through their Personal Assistant. some people just want to have multiple income stream. If you ask me what I do for a living now, depending on who you are and why you are asking, I will tell you about any of my jobs. I have a government job, a registered solar inverter company and I am building an ecommerce site to sell things online. As long as the one job doesn't affect the other, people will buy it.

I know a neighbour who paid #150k for a slot in the army recruitment.The army captain who collected the money did not fulfill his promise.So my neighbour asked for a refund and he got his money back in installment.

I know a female friend who told me she agreed to pay 250k for a federal job. She was posted to Abeokuta, but was based in the East. And after a certain number of years, she will seek transfer back to her base in East. She got the job and still works there
