YouTube has two basic requirements for a channel to qualify for monetization on that platform. These requirements are 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. The moment your channel meets these requirements, you’re qualified to apply for monetization. Before meeting these requirements, all you have to do is to keep on uploading valuable content on your channel. When your channel meets the requirements for monetization, you’ll receive an email from YouTube asking you to apply for monetization. And when you log in to your YouTube studio you’ll also find a blue button giving you the official nod to “apply now”.

When you click on that button, you kickstart the process of applying for monetization on YouTube. There are three basic steps you’ll be required to take in that process:

1. Review YouTube Partner Program Terms
2. Sign Up For Google AdSense
3. Get Reviewed.
