JOB RECRUITMENT FOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER- IBADAN

A foremost Publishing firm with Head Office situated in Ibadan is looking for detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.

The candidate must be able to follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for approving purchases.

Job Responsibilities:
• To estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
• Must follow and enforce the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Manage inventories and maintain records of all purchases, pricing, and other important data as may be required
• Maintain and update a comprehensive list of suppliers and their information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges etc. and as well research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
• Periodically review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, their supply, price options
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Ensure that the products and supplies are of high quality at all times
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed


Job requirements:
1. HND or Bsc. in accounting, business management or a similar field preferred
2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a procurement officer or related position, previous work in a publishing company is an added
advantage.
3. Applicant must be within the age range of 27 to 35 years.
4. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
5. Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
7. Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft Office and excel, good knowledge of purchasing software is an added advantage.
8. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
9. Good analytical and strategic thinking skills to analyze problems and proffer solution.
10. Supervisory and management experience is vital.
11. Accurate and precise attention to details.
