Today i went to the market to collect some money from the person i supplied garri. After collecting the money, i decided to buy herbicide. I got to the shop and asked the woman to give me Force up.. Na im the woman say force up na 3k o. I was shocked.. The cheapest glysphoste herbicide i could get was 2700. It wasnt funny at all... How do i cope in this farming business when the price of inputs keep rising on daily basis. Glyphosphate i used to buy for 1300/1500 before. I just dont know where we are heading to in this country. moshoodtex: Sorry this may not be true in this case , the rise is triggered by our exchange rate all chemicals are manufactured in China and then supplied to us here so once dollar goes up automatically the prices go up and its unfortunate that the farmer will be struggling to buy these farm inputs and struggle to sell as the purchasing power is going low 3 Likes 1 Share |
