It's tough not to be trabalistic and racist, but when one had developed a high level of comprehending life and it's essence, one see beyond the colours, the languages and the conflicting ideologies

Tribalism is wack, stupid band senseless.
Look at it this way,a man from the north hates southerners,yet if bandits,of the same tribe,have the slightest opportunity they will kidnap his kids in school,or book haram can attack his home town and wipe out his family.( He can lose everything to his fellow tribesmen)
A man from the east hates westerners,yet if kidnappers,of the same tribe, have the slightest opportunity they will kidnap him,if he doesn't have money he will be killed, or his lovely children stolen and sold,(He can lose everything to his fellow tribesmen).
A man from the west hates northerners or easterners, yet if ritualist of the same tribe have the slightest opportunity,they will kill him and dismember his body and sell for little change, or his wife could enter one chance bus,and robbed,and thrown out of the bus( He can lose everything to his fellow tribesmen).
If your own tribesmen can harm you and make you lose all you hold there in the world,why then do you hate other tribes who might never harm you ever in anyway?
It's a pity that online hate speech and tribalism is rampant mostly among the youths of southern extraction,who are mostly Christians. For what? Because of politicians smh

What we experience in Nigeria is tribalism it is based on ethnic groups or tribes and not on any nation the sole foundation for these nations existence is built upon tribalism so your point is null and void from the start

Yes they are what are you talking about the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Edo, Ibibio etc are all ethnic groups or what are called tribes so yes Nigeria's problem isn't nationalism but tribalism it would be a different story if these nations weren't clearly ethnicity or tribally based then your point would actually make sense

We're a common race with a generic poverty - that should be enough to unite us as one tribe.

Everyone else hates us. From the Chinese to the Arabs and whites, they all despise us and see us as beneath them.. why then should we hate ourselves ? Isn’t that too much ? Isn’t that daft ?

All my friends who tried to marry another tribe had to contend with their parents disapproval. Some succeeded, some caved in to parents pressure

Great post but I will also add that anyone who understands business and productivity will hardly be a tribalist or racist cos you extract value from people of all tribes and nations on a daily basis

I read this post when you first made it but I had to come back here to digest this wisdom again

So basically there are good and bad humans in every tribe/ethnicity so we should focus on the good people irrespective of ethnicity
